Gross. |
She, her parents and camp are the most manipulative people, so calculated. Hopefully this whole Superbowl/Grammy glory is peak and then she fades out. She's so annoying. |
She is a business; everything is calculated. What's disappointing about this, if true, is that the moment with Celine was not genuine in any way. |
So what if it wasn't? Maybe she's not a fan of Celine Dion? I mean, I just don't get this. I am not a complete Swiftie, I'd say casual fan, so I know a few things and one of them is that she loves awards. Really loves them. I think she was caught up in the moment of winning the big award. Like some Best Picture or Best Director winners get at the Oscars, they don't always give the most refined speeches, and I don't - now that I mention it - ever recall them caring who gave them the award. Ever. Why is she required to care at all about Celine Dion? We literally don't expect that anywhere else or from anyone else. |
Ok I’m obsessed with the theory up thread that Swift is autistic. I have ND kids and am ADHD myself and wow, I totally see it. That could also explain why she doesn’t seem to get “older” while everyone around her does. Hyperfixations (cats, justice, numbers, writing music at a crazy speed), awkward body movements (that video of her stimming is just whoa), her ability to mask… hmmm. I like her and was surprised by how awkward she was on the field at the Chiefs game. In this context it makes sense, it was a new and very overwhelming scene and so she couldn’t have been very prepared. Very interesting, PP. |
NP. Her sister is awesome. |
No. She flipped it around as a way to say that she will be OK on her own. I love it! |
+1 |
I listened to the “Flowers” song for the first time a few days ago and was shocked by how terrible the song is. |
Please. Taylor haters grasp at anything. She was clearly overwhelmed and worried about her friend who she had brought on stage with her. I don’t think she thought she would win that award, so she made some mistakes in how she handled it. Totally human. |
My take is that it's different because of Celine. The loss of Celine's voice, her music, her presence on the music scene is a devastation. This room was filled with those who could feel and understand such a loss more than anyone. No one has even seen Celine in months. She was one of "the divas" along with Mariah and Whitney. This award was akin to the Oscar's Best Picture. Having Celine appearing to hand it out--especially with her now physical challenges--was huge. She commanded a level of respect in this situation. Taylor didn't NEED to praise Celine, but her lack of acknowledgment was a glaring misstep. And many people noticed and commented. Fans can love Taylor and at the same time agree that she could have been more gracious to another musical icon in the moment. She is not a 20-something getting her first award. Or even her first Album of the Year. |
+2 It’s wild to me how many people just love to hate others and look for reasons to be nasty. |
If you didn't recognize the song (even if you didn't know what song it was) by now, then we'd expect that you wouldn't like it. To the rest of the world, it's a fun, boppy, banger. |
The Grammys was all kinds of messy, and I'm here for it. What's the point of celebrities if they don't do stuff to make us wag our tongues? Whoever said TS sucks the air out of every room...I think that might be true. I love her albums, but god it must be exhausting to be in her sphere. Does she care? I don't think so. That's why I kind of love her. But if I saw her coming my way, I'd probably run for the hills. I think it's hilarious that Kelce keeps saying "I brought this on myself..." like he's saying the quiet part out loud. "What the eff have I done?" |
