Johnny Depp trial in Fairfax County

My one take away from this trial is to never do couple's counseling without considering that it could be used in court against you. It's always the person who doesn't really want to go to counseling or fix the marriage that barely says anything or lies during counseling.

It’s really a failing of the judge. Most judge would say that they are t going to use 6 weeks of limited court resources or burden jurors in this way—that they get a week and they need to make it work.

Whether or not she slapped him once has nothing to do with whether he abused her while he was drunk and high and abused her during their relationship.

Text messages to Paul Bettany admitting he got high and drunk and took it out on Heard, and saying he was wrong to do so and feels bad about it, which ultimately led him to detox (which she helped him do).

It's so weird. He castigates her for being mad that he always seemed to be drunk and high, but also admits that he did this and that it was a problem, and that's why he went to rehab. She was not wrong to be upset that he was drunk and high all the time. He's bitter about this but he isn't realizing what a jerk he was to be around then, because he wasn't conscious for a lot of it. So to him he did nothing wrong, but to her he was a total jerk.

Today is really brutal. As much as we know how messed up he is, hearing and seeing Amber's team evidence is painful.

Aside from the obvious, he should have stayed in France. It's like he forgot why he ended up there in the first place.
