I get that he wants to prove that he didn't commit domestic abuse, but I don't really see how all the other issues about him are helping his reputation around the world. Marrying someone on drugs and who doesn't get along with his daughter? Not really a good choice. Constant drugs all out in the open from the wedding on? And then just the knowledge that he tatooed something about his mother on his arm and then berated her at her funeral just shows there is a lot of codependency he has with women. I haven't watched much of it, but it just shows that he was a dysfunctional adult marrying another dysfunctional adult. Such is the world, but why six weeks? Murder trials aren't even necessarily so long. Just to prove you never hit anyone that wasn't even actually an arrest? If Amber Heard or he really cared about the violence they would have made a formal complaint.
