What’s going on with the two bills?

The progressive are ready to leave. Why give the Demublicans a win if they will not give you anything? The dems can continue to run scared of the republicans but they will do it without the progressives(that about 3/4 of the dems in the house).

Are you referring to the moderates? They have no reason to stick around. Everybody should leave.

Progressives are not 3/4 of the house. Delusional.

Yeah, I agree they are having outsized influence when really they're yappers who aren't the head of the Biden administration.

95 House members of the CPC. Out of 221 seated Democrats. And after defending her Tuesday fail - Japayal said she could only get 50 immediate votes anyway.

So it sounds like the core CPC is only 11% of the House or 22% of the Democrats.

Tell them to pound sand.

Looks up at 7:00PM EST on Thursday - the progressives need to stop sending out BS quotes. They just look silly.

Progressives are declaring victory ahead of a possible vote Thursday on President Biden’s social spending and climate package, while saying they shouldn’t be blamed for their party losing the governor’s race in Virginia.

There are about 121 house members who are progressive. Without them the dems would have about 100 house seats. Those 100 representatives are large geriatric and totally out of touch with the democratic base. Those are your moderates.

There are only 95 members in the Congressional Progressive Caucus. Stop lying.

Bottom line, the progressives are for the infrastructure bill and always have been. They wanted BBB to be included so as to not be derailed by moderate dems and the GOP.

At the end of the day, both bills will pass the House, perhaps as soon as tomorrow, and likely will pass the Senate, hopefully before the end of the year.

Were you the one insisting the BBB would pass on Tuesday? And McAuliffe would cruise to victory too?

Its not passing. Pack it up. Move on.

After trying to follow, I’m still not sure which bill is which, why there are so many at once, and which ones have a time crunch. Can anyone explain it like I’m 5?

Good luck with that.

“In the House, a small group of moderate Democrats are privately warning they aren’t ready to back Biden’s broader bill on the floor this week.”

Told ya.

Longest roll call vote in history. At least there’s that.

Seems to me if no one can get a majority to agree we need any of these things, maybe we don’t need them that badly. Just take the $1.76T off the deficit this year.
