Is this the end of Landon’s 30+ year reign of terror over D.C. lacrosse? Gonzaga and Bullis look to be the new dominant area programs. Bullis is almost all underclassmen!

This poster must be new around these parts.

By the late 1990's Prep had closed the gap between themselves and Landon. During the 2000's the case can be made that Prep was the better program. That pretty much ended any Landon "dominance" and not the newly-minted Bullis team.

I guess the Buliis people missed all that history. Attempting to take credit for ending Landon's reign of terror is a bit much. That was already accomplished decades ago by Prep.

And the nonsense about Bullis ending Landon's dominance shows an ignorance oF IAC history.

Holton lost to Saints by 3
Visi lost to Saints by 4

But yet, Holton and Stone Ridge do not have a shot but Visi does. Ok...

OMG I can't believe I really have to explain this ... 1. Visi has a far more impressive overall record. 2. Visi is nationally ranked by the experts who know best how to assess a team. 3. Visi has made it to the championship before so less likely to choke if they find them selves up against SSSAS. 4.Visi has a far deeper well of talent than either Sr or H. So, for a myriad of reasons - yes, Visi is best positioned to beat SSSAS out of the three.

St. Stephen’s/St. Agnes hasn’t lost a conference tournament since records began at least 21 years ago and are currently in first place. Georgetown Visitation has one league loss this year - to SSSAS. Stone Ridge has two losses - to SSSAS and Visi. Holton has gone 4-3 in ISL AA play, losing to all of the former, putting it in fourth place.

PP, maybe you do have to explain it again. Holton just beat SSSAS in the ISL semi finals.

Yes indeed they did 10-9 and I am eating humble pie. . Way to go Holton. Nice. And Visi over SR 14-9. Should be a fun final.

The girls lacrosse world tends to be much more collegial than the boys, at least in our area. I hear its not quite as nice on Long Island or in Baltimore area.
