Chantilly families want other Chantilly families to move out, so Chantilly is not overcrowded.

They just moved more kids TO chantilly in the most recent boundary study. I'm skeptical moving only Oak Hill to Skyview and one neighborhood near Wegmans to Westfield is going to balance enrollment meaningfully. Who else is going to move out, if not at least part of Lees Corner?

More to Westfield. But, they are not moving very many IN to Chantilly, are they? Oak Hill and that Wegman's neighborhood may be enough.

They should keep the boundary Carson kids at Skyview and move some Chantilly kids that go to Franklin to Westfield. Wouldn't that be cleaner than having some Carson students and some Franklin students go to Skyview and other HS's. Am I missing something or does that seem logical?

Oak Hill neighborhood is the closest to Skyview.

Chantilly's senior class is the largest one. Losing Oak Hill and the kids around Wegman's should be sufficient. It would be silly to take Lee's Corner when there are others that are far more logical.

But with Crossfield remaining at Oakton now it makes sense to move Lees Corner to Skyview.

Read the first option maps.

That was 691-698 students.

351 To Skyview from Chantilly (SPAs 2501, 2516, 3406, 3503, 3507, 3511, and 3512)

340 to Westfield from Chantilly (SPAs 3408, 3414, 4404, 4405, 4410, 4413, 4418, and 4420).

And ± 7 from Chantilly to Skyview (SPA 3521).

Is that for sure. Crossfield should be at Skyview or South Lakes if Fox Mill goes to Skyview.

You can keep repeating it all you want, but that doesn't make it true. The most logical choices presented where the scenarios that included Crossfield at Skyview. It keeps them with all the other kids who go to Carson MS. It also makes room at Oakton for all the new housing coming online in the next couple years. If the school board is doing their job logically and with the best financial interest of the taxpayers in mind that is what they would do.

Chantilly families want other Chantilly families to move out, so Chantilly is not overcrowded.

To that end, Oakton families want the Crossfield families to move out, to make room for the growth expected.

Nope, it's just one PTO president's wishful thinking.

Genuinely curious why if Oakton families want Crossfield to move per the post a few above this why would people from other elementary schools in that pyramid sign a petition in support of them staying?

30 % of the signers are from outside the area. And, there are 2 zips within the 70 % which are not Crossfield families. Except for Fox Mill Woods, Crossfield is 20171.
And it is not almost 1000.
