They’ve got capacity restrictions, so it can’t be that packed. We’ve got a trip booked for November already. |
New capacity restrictions, or the same restrictions as before COVID? |
They’ve had capacity restrictions the entire pandemic. They started out at 25% capacity max. Now they’re at 35% capacity max. Tons of other COVID-related measures too. |
i think this is true- we are asian & travel to the UK, europe and back home all within 16 month periods while doing national park, beach, mountain trips as well & have alway been pleasantly surprised by disney visits . Our kids are "pbs" kids & other than frozen not permitted to watch the princess movies at home(I'm not gonna be that mom elsewhere) but they loved seeing mickey and the fireworks and we all love roller coasters and rides, We didn't wait for very long at any ride but we also only do 1-2 days at disney and then went to the beach and one trip we did disney land and then went to Joshua tree and palm springs. Honestly teh kids had just as much fun at the art museum and natl park . It was all fun. Having a varied sense of what can bring you joy is not bad- my 8 year old and 5 year old loved touring the Globe theater and 2 month after that had fun at "toon town" looking at the funny tv set like buildings. You can do all of these things if you prioritize and plan and we are an average DCUM income family, not super rich or anything. Honestly, I had the same sense of joy and happiness lfrom ballooning in cappadocia camping on assateague, going through the haunted mansion and having gelato in rodin's garden. The same exact feeling of well being floods my senses when i remember all of these disparate occasions. Life is a smorgasbord - taste everything, including breakfast with giraffes, pre lunch on a steam boat and after dinner fireworks all in the same day with a few roller coasters thrown in. You cant do that anywhere but disney. |
Very overpriced, so much Stuff, long lines, materialistic, very planned. But, Star Wars theme part was amazing! Awesome! |
They have these offers every year, this time of year. Remember, they aren't selling the annual pass or the Florida resident pass this year either. That is what many Floridians would typically buy. I am in Florida and I have a trip planned but I only bought the 3-day pass, not the Florida resident pass like I usually would, because they're not selling it. |
You’ve been to Disney right? When we went, the majority of the crowd looked straight out of trailer park. I highly doubt this was one of many globe trotting vacations they took. Probably either saved all yr or put on credit card. The people I know personally that love Disney the most and go yearly are also the same women who sell MLM crap, are into Girl Scouts, PTA and are very middle class in general |
I know adults who go to Disney yearly or more and they have no kids. They like MLM’s (I’ve been invited twice already during Covid), the Hallmark channel, all got married at Disney, and love to eat and drink at Disney restaurants and Downtown. They even went on a Disney cruise during the pandemic and all the ports didn’t let them in so they stayed on the boat for two weeks and drank shots with the crew members and took pictures with the characters. Not surprisingly, they are all morbidly obese. |
With what they have open and lack of shows, it is absolutely packed at the current capacity levels. I love Disney, but go with your eyes open. |
I think it’s boiled down to “don’t yuck my yum” to quote Cynthia Nixon. I won’t crap on your vacations that I wouldn’t like, and you show me the same courtesy. |
You mean like not calling people who go to Disney trailer trash, like a post on this page of the thread? Yeah. So classy, Disney haters. Keep on being your wonderful selves. |
You know how I know you’re a troll? There have been no Disney cruises during the pandemic. |
Please please use paragraphs! And write less.. find a way to say what i want in less words. |
Yes, there were in late March 2020. After the schools and colleges in DC area had closed. I personally know a group of couples who left for a 2-week Disney cruise after schools went on-line and many workers started WFH. They had this cruise planned for a long time and went anyway. While on the cruise, they were notified that no ports would let the boat dock but they would ride around for two weeks without ports. These people love the characters and theme nights and eating and drinking alcohol so they didn’t mind. Hanging out with cast members with no masks. |
Uh huh. |
