Why do people hate Disney?

This is so funny. I get that no everyone can do this but my kids have been to Europe and Asia probably 20 times and Disney a few. You can do both!

But see — that doesn’t fit with their superiority thing.

Disney doesn't look as cool on social media as more far-flung vacations.

It's expensive. I hate waiting in line. I hate having to book and constantly check my watch on holiday. My kids whine and complain after eating crappy food and walking around all day.

Twenty times to Europe and Asia for a kis? You travel too much.

No such thing

Or most of Europe, right?

I find it more manageable to space out the crowd/line experience in Europe with quieter moments at cafes, parks, road/day trips than at Disney. It's just too non-stop / in your face for me.

Disney has some really nice, quiet spots. Seems you just haven’t done it right. Or maybe you haven’t been at all.

That’s your problem raising your kids then.

Also, Disney has some pretty great food. Let me guess — you only eat at quick serve places or haven’t been in 15 years.

Wait — going to Disney is low brow, but 20 times to Europe and Asia is too much?

Nothing makes you people happy.

I think some people believe they are too "good" for Disney. They're pretty clenched. Disney is what it is - a delightful playground for little kids. If you can't enjoy yourself just so your kids can have a good time then whatever. Would my husband and I go to Disney just by ourselves? No, we're not really into rides and stuff like that. Do we take our kids? Sure, it seems like it is a rite of passage. We have 3 kids who haven't been and as soon as it is safe we will be there with bells on.

Example: Jiko at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Terrific restaurant serving African food.

Disney has some fun things for adults who don’t have sticks up their asses. Star Wars Land in particular is geared mostly to teenagers and adults.

Well, think of the environment and if everybody jet-setted around the globe as much as the poster that's taken their kids overseas twenty times.

My kid is 4. She’s been to Sweden, Finland, Estonia, London, Rome, AZ, NYC, and yes — Disney.

In May we will take her to Oahu. In November we will be back at Disney.

Yes, you can do it all if you have the money.

Oh got it. That’s your problem — not your superiority complex around a theme park.

I never like the Disney cartoon characters and the hyper marketing of the tie-in merchandise. So why would I want to surround myself with that at the theme park?
