The Queen’s anger at her uncle wasn’t general disdain for irresponsibility but because the abdication made her father king. It was a huge burden for a man not suited for that role and she felt the stress of it shortened his life. It is not analogous to Harry’s actions in any way.

Also people on here seem to forget that one of the main reasons Wallis and Co got sent to the Bahamas was because there was legitimate concerns that they would endanger the war effort by their obvious attempts to cost up to Nazi Germany. A lot more treasonous than not wanting to continue being a senior working royal that has no real shot of coming to the throne.

He has $45M already and he’ll inherit money from Charles. He really doesn’t need money.

+1 It's pretty well known that Harry is not very bright and he only continues to reinforce this speculation with his actions as of late.

Charles will probably be King in ten years but all that money will be tied to the sovereign grant, used for upkeep of a broad array of relatives (Queens three other kids, their 6 or so grandkids, the great-grandkids and the cousins like the Gloucester’s) and expected to be passed down to further generations.
