There’s a lot there even with 60%+ of the conversation taken out. Let Congress see the full complaint |
“When he first started in the Situation Room, he said, he asked his predecessor why they didn’t just record the phone calls rather than going through all the trouble of this furious transcription. “The answer I got was, ‘Oh God, no. They haven’t recorded those calls since the early ’70s,’ ” Pfeiffer recalled. After that, he said he didn’t feel the need to inquire any further.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/09/25/trump-call-transcript-with-ukranian-president-history/ |
But we have typed transcripts. How is that any more secure? And less accurate. |
If there really is “nothing to see here” they will handover the whistleblower complaint requested unanimously by the senate. Still waiting for that... |
What do you mean by "the Crowdstrike server"? What server is supposed to be in Ukraine? I think Trump confused separate issues and misspoke at that point. |
Give me a break! That’s it? Trump is right, this was a nothing phone call. All I see here is the Ukrainian President doing some ass kisisng, President Trump rushing through the call, and suggesting in passing that the Ukrainian President, who ran on an anti-corruption platform, look into whether Joe Biden and his son engaged in corruption in his country. And he offered the assistance of the US Attorney General and his personal attorney if helpful. That’s it. No connection to military or other aid of any kind, or any other quid pro quo. If this is all the Dems have, then what an embarrassment! There is no chance this will succeed in any way. Just goes to show that the Dems now realize they can’t win the next election and that this is their best hope of getting rid of the President. It’s absolutely hysterical. I must say, I feel better than ever about his 2020 chances. What a farce this is! |
Those are facts. Russian oligarchs did donate to the NRA. The NRA in turn then donated to Trump. That you and those like you ignore it is what will be leading the public over the cliff edge like lemmings. That's why we have to impeach now. Sorry if you find it painful, but it has to be done. - DP |
We haven’t seen the whistleblower complaint yet. |
Looks like PP got those White House talking points that their incompetent comms office also sent to Pelosi by mistake. |
Ask yourself this question: if Obama said the exact same things with a foreign government (such as Russia) and replaced Biden with Trump, would you call this a "farce" or a political witch hunt? You're being willfully blind if you don't see the hypocrisy. |
Ok. I guess, since you think it's such a farce, you should be asking yourself why other people think it's so bad. Be honest with yourself. But be careful, you may not like the conclusion you reach, and prefer the comfy confines of your bubble where you think Trump did nothing wrong. |
I would have said the exact same, that it’s a nothing call. Except Obama wouldn’t have said it, because that wasn’t his style. Just because it’s Trump’s type, though, doesn’t make it criminal or impeachable. |
Yup. Happy freaking birthday to me! I'm enjoying today!! |
From a former senior director, White House Situation Room: The White House Situation Room and the responsible NSC directorate develop the transcript. WHSR, which monitors the call, develops a verbatim working transcript which is reviewed and finalized by the NSC directorate and captured in a memorandum of conversation (MEMCON). /6 https://twitter.com/LarryPfeifferDC/status/1176587537772470272 |
To answer your question, other people think it’s bad because they have a political agenda and know they can’t oust the President democratically in the next election. So they resort to these tactics, which undermine our democracy. You should be honest with yourself please. |
