Yes that's what I'm.alluding to..including men on men..i have no trouble talking about clergy, military or campus rape problems. Why does it not bother you when it happens to children in Afghanistan or in camps of immigrants in Europe?

Yep, remember that massive rape scandal among women cadets in the Air Force Academy a while back?

Nah, no problems here, it's only those RAPEY FOREIGNERS we have to worry about, according to PP...

Yes because no one in the military has ever been punished for rape or sexual harrassment. Because an entire generation if air force didn't see their careers end for just being at tailhook.

Any other Afghan criminal offenses we need to start policing? What about the practice of publicly stoning adulterers to death, which had been put to a stop by the Taliban, but is once again legal under Afghan laws? What about the practice of imprisoning women who flee to escape domestic violence or an illegal forced marriage?

If it's happening on American bases I would surely hope so!

THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BERGDAHL - YOU WANT TO TALK ABOUT BERGDAHL, THERE'S A THREAD FOR THAT ALREADY.

THIS ALSO HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OBAMA. OBAMA DID NOT WRITE THE UCMJ. THE UCMJ PROSECUTED SOLDIERS FOR ASSAULT LONG BEFORE OBAMA CAME ALONG.

Got it?

If you again feel the urge to say "Obama" or "Bergdahl" refer back to this post until it sinks in.

He's commander in chief. He's ultimatel responsible. His choices are clear

You think two wrongs make a right, you think the answer to any injustice is violent lawless vigilante behavior. That's obviously your "clear choice." It's not the choice I would make.

What would you do if you were USA military and children were being raped and chained to beds on the base and you could hear and see them? Analogy: Sandusky and Mike McQueery and Paterno. McQueery saw Sandusky in the shower. Fact is we need to get out of Afghanistan and severely restrict any immigration of Afghans. No pedophilia culture for other countries.

My understanding it is a status thing there, as well as that women are so hidden , shuttered away and feared (kind of like Victorian England). I doubt the practice would translate much here in our far more open society. However, we should not look the other way from the generals and pops there stuffing American dollars in their underpants and the police partners raping boys on base. This green beret should get a medal for bringing the issue to a forefront. The military will have to develop a written policy , one where action is taken when these crimes are reported so soldiers dont have to revert to coming up with their own ways to intercede and do the right thing. This issue is not going away and from the president, to carter to the command of these areas of the work you bet they are scrambling to figure this out. Brava to the green beret!

If you needed a Green Beret to bring the issue to the forefront for you then you aren't paying attention and are woefully uninformed about the countries we are occupying. Are you outraged that Afghan poppy has a direct tie to the heroin epidemic in the US? Who is responsible for allowing this to literally reblossom? What do we do about it as a nation?

I think you should start a new thread vis heroin. As to the green beret, I did not need it brought it brought to the forefront to me, but to the generals and the president. I dont formulate policy directly.

I wonder if these articles were carried in local newspapers and on local stations throughout the USA. Areas where people join the army. This needs to be brought to the forefront for all people to see where and for whom their sons and loved ones might die. A sick and disgusting culture. I woonder how many of these pervs have immigrated?

You should call the White House and ask. Then file a FOIA request. Make it your life's work.

The green beret has come out with a statement. This is not going away.

Yes it is. The noise machine will move on. The outage will dutifully follow.

I dont think so - it is gaining momentum..coupled with the crisis in Europe , the crisis in Syria, cities on Afghanistan falling to the Taliban - it begs the question where is our leadership? What is the expectation of our military? What will we ask then to do next, and will we ask it clearly?
