Yet another GOP shutdown?

I don't know who Wall Street Mav is but this isn't the first tweet of his that has been posted. And wow, he's a dumdum. Thinks he knows everything and actually doesn't know anything.

Hahaha. Yes you do use federal services but thank you for illustrating why we are in this mess.

The ignorance is astonishing.

Why are R's not supporting this stripped down bill? I don't understand--what do they want? a two sentence straight extension? or they just want the govt closed until 1/20, so nothing will satisfy them?

This is what Elon was advocating yesterday.

How could any serious person advocate shutting down the USG until 1/20? That is going to wreck the economy and hurt a lot of ordinary people in and out of government.

I guess when you're a billionaire, you don't care about wrecking the economy because you have enough money to ride it out and survive and maybe even pick up some companies at a lower price?

But, seriously, who does he think is going to buy Teslas when we the economy collapses?

How is that going to wreck the economy?

You realize there were eight shutdowns in Reagan's term. Yet here we are.

Is the sky still falling?

There were not 8 shutdowns during Reagan's Presidency. There were 3 - one lasted a day, the other 2 were 4hours long.

Except the people who voted for Trump will believe it.

Trump is backing this plan, but many of the GOP House members do not, at least not at the moment.

It supposedly suspends the debt ceiling for two years. I don’t think the democrats will support. Or a decent chunk of republicans either.

And again why suspend the debt ceiling if spending is going to be brought under control “on day 1”?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

It's not going to wreck the economy. Might dent it a little bit.

It's going to wreck the transition and inauguration. Literally harming themselves.

How will this harm Trump? He isn't president to govern! He doesn't need transition because he's there to destroy the government. He doesn't care about his inauguration except for his inauguration bribery fund.

To put it in perspective, for Elon Musk, $250 million is the equivalent of $26.21 for someone who makes $50k a year in salary.

To put it in perspective, the top ten percent of tax payers pay 73.7% of the total taxes collected, yet they still get just one vote. So stop whining.
