According to new data published last month, the Biden Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has removed a higher percentage of arrested border crossers in its first two years than the Trump DHS did over its last two years. Moreover, migrants were more likely to be released after a border arrest under President Trump than under President Biden.

Lol.
Releases over two year period:

Trump (51% of encounters) •712,930 (by Jan-2021)
Biden (49% of encounters) •2,440,145

Most blatant example of “spin” I’ve seen in a long time. Trying to use a 2% difference to say Biden was more likely to expel migrants. Even though absolute numbers are obscenely different.

lol. It puts the lie to the claim that Biden isn’t enforcing immigration laws and trump did.

Trump didn’t abuse parole, and he made every effort available to restrict immigration and close the border via executive orders.

Biden undid those executive orders and broadcast his deportation moratorium to the world.

Perception trip to the border will be worth it=more migrants try
Perception it will be a waste of time=less migrants.

Biden broadcast the former and so numbers exploded. And he hasn’t actually tried to issue any policies or EOs to stem the tide.

BS he fought to keep Title 42 in place and the courts rescinded it.

This. We have a president trying to follow the law and the right is SCREAMING "but Trump was able to do it" - ya, illegally. THIS is why we need the border bill to be passed. Can people posting on this issue from the right please begin to understand this?

+1. Even Trump begged for Congress to pass a border bill while he was president.

And they didn't because they want this to remain a campaign/political issue. It is literally the ONLY thing the right has to run on. And yet Trump has exposed the problem. The right won't pass a bill, so all of this manufactured BS about the crisis at the border has gotten all the people posting here riled up and angry, just where the right wants them.

they don't actually want to address or solve the problem.

Bullying Taylor worked out so great for Kanye! Keep it up, Donald. But please have your nurse change your diaper, it really smells in here.

Man, Taylor has over 80 million followers on twitter. Imagine if half of them are US voters and act as a ballast on these threats.

Taylor Swift is an actual real billionaire and a genius at business, unlike Trump. No wonder he is obsessing over her. She’s actually successful and smart. She’s even kind, see the story of the $100k bonus she gave her crew on her recent tour. Class act (but I’m more of a hardcore punk music fan).

Dp - Sidenote : lots of dads that prefer punk, rock, and rap were at the tour with their Swiftie daughters. Most were shocked at how great the show was. She’s not everyone’s jam, but she can put on a real show.

It is actually a pretty remarkable list, if you take the time to review it

Trump is coming out of this looking really bad. I wonder how long it’s going to take him to realize how badly this is going for him.

Another one in the GOP who is completely whipped by Trump. It's truly disgusting. Trump has singlehandedly cut off their cojones.

They cut off their own and handed to them to Trump on a platter.

It’s kind of a gimme, but my personal favorite is still Infrastructure. Mostly because Donald “don't solve immigration, it hurts my chances” Trump and the GOP can’t govern.

Well they haven’t released the text yet, despite it being apparently done. So all we hear are leaks, and the leaks that have come out are not promising.

There is FINALLY acknowledgment by the left and public pressure on them to crack down on immigration. I’d rather not see a half-assed bill that hides the problem but doesn’t fix it.

If the text comes out and it’s actually good and much closer to HR 2 than what the leaks have lead us to believe, I’d happily admit I’m wrong and start complaining about the house and Trump if they try to kill it.

But I’m not holding my breath.
