Virtual camp. LMAO |
You live with people who go out of the house. Not cautious enough, obviously, otherwise you wouldn't have covid. |
I'm impressed that you are blaming randos on the internet for your covid, versus the people that you live with you obviously got it and gave it to you. How did it get to you, if not through something you did or something the people you live with did? I could actually care less how you go it, but if you are this much of a judgmental jerk, then you deserve the judgment to be leveled directly back at you. |
I know you think you are a genius and everyone else is crazy. |
Thanks for the kinds words, PP. I'm no expert and don't have a better prediction than anybody else. I'll go with what Paul Offit said in his recent interview on ZDoggMd's YouTube channel: This virus will be with us forever, and we have to get comfortable with mild infections. I would assume that the pace of those will somewhat abate as we gain broader immunity, but we will always be dealing with mild infections, because, according to Offit, a virus with such a short incubation period cannot be eliminated with any vaccine. Neutralizing antibodies always wane, and the memory cells cannot kick in fast enough to prevent symptomatic infection, although they do offer long-term protection against severe disease, which, as Offit says, is really the only thing that matters. |
I really feel for her kids. Not only because of the limits put upon their lives, but for the guilt they must be feeling for "giving" their mother this virus due to their activities, which she most certainly has instilled in them with her moralizing attitude towards this virus and the people catching it. |
So were all these sacrifices worthwhile, considering you got it anyway? Your example, if true, is why I’m glad to no longer be taking all these extreme precautions- if something is so contagious that you’re going to get it from an outdoor masked activity, then so be it. We’ll get it when we get it. |
Good lord lady, take some responsibility for yourself. Of course you’re miserable, you haven’t left the house in weeks and now are sick. |
Even "model" New Zealand has been unable to contain COVID. It's a tiny island of just 5 million. https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/jul/05/new-zealand-faces-new-covid-wave-as-experts-say-moving-on-from-pandemic-is-wishful-thinking |
That’s just ridiculous. Japan, for example, has had far lower COVID cases and deaths than we have. No extreme lockdowns. |
Japan is entering their seventh wave with BA5. We will see if they can contain the spread. Doubt it. |
A lot of mentally ill parents creating mentally ill socially inept hermit kids. We are all getting covid. Nothing works. All the hysteria and moralizing of the past two years was for naught. MOVE ON. |
Not as many obese in Japan. |
Hence, our geniuses decided to rope off and arrest people for going to the beach or walking on a trail. |
