They only masked indoors and probably got to close outdoors but everyone says you cannot get it outdoors which clearly is not true. It’s running through the activity per emails and posts. I would assume that the pace of those will somewhat abate as we gain broader immunity, but we will always be dealing with mild infections, because, according to Offit, a virus with such a short incubation period cannot be eliminated with any vaccine. Neutralizing antibodies always wane, and the memory cells cannot kick in fast enough to prevent symptomatic infection, although they do offer long-term protection against severe disease, which, as Offit says, is really the only thing that matters.

They only masked indoors and probably got to close outdoors but everyone says you cannot get it outdoors which clearly is not true. It’s running through the activity per emails and posts. It’s clear where they got it. I have not been to the activity and avoid people as I knew I’d catch it if anyone got to close. Covid cannot be stopped, even if everyone dons a quality mask in public indoor places. It can't be stopped now and it couldn't have been stopped early on if people had just "behaved better" in this country, because by *January 2020* it had already spread to 18 countries, and was in animal reservoirs. There was never any hope to stop it from infecting nearly every person on the planet, an outcome we are approaching now.

I have not left my house in several weeks. The rare occasion I go out, like for groceries I always mask. Spouse and kids don’t go anywhere indoors so they had to have gotten it outdoors at an activity. Good try. If it happens to me, it will to you too.
