The governor of Mass is a Republican. Can't lose a senator. Also, she'd be the defacto 2024 candidate if they won. It'd be weird. |
Well Rice was already in 2nd place? I think the odds went Harris Rice Whitmer Michelle Obama So if we know it’s not Harris, obviously everyone’s odds move up a rung. |
No, Whitmer clearly was there for VP. Her totally random racial equity press conference the following day, flanked by Black folks, was obvious pandering for VP. |
I doubt it. She'll be on Biden's cabinet. |
On the one hand, she’s clearly qualified for any cabinet position or VP. Ready to work on day 1. On the other hand, I’m not ready for the BENGHZIIIIII Republican ghouls to come out of the woodwork. On the other other hand, Biden himself is the most experienced presidential candidate since probably George HW Bush, and I’m fully confident that he and his staff are putting together an excellent transition team, so does he really *need* a VP with that degree of experience? Or would it be better to give the position to someone younger in the party who could take the reins in the future, avoiding a possible messy primary season should Biden get elected and decline to run in 2024? |
Maybe Joe wanted to talk to Pete in person to get his opinion. Pete spent a lot of time on the campaign trail with both Warren and Harris. I still think it might be Warren. |
Why? What does he owe Whitmer? While I think she’s a good VP choice, she has no management experience. For cabinet nod, Detroit’s mayor Mike Duggan has far more experience, accomplishments and has done more for Biden. |
Duggan also graduated from THE University of Michigan, a HIGHLY prestigious public university. He did not go to Michi...Michigan.. St...St..State, I can't event bring myself to say it! |
Joes does not need Pete's opinion, lol. What he probably needed was for him to film a professionally managed spot, for the convention or the announcement. |
How do we know it’s not Harris? |
+1 She was trying to help with a rationale for the pick. |
We don't know, but the delay only hurts her. |

Hard to follow what you are saying. Governors traditionally became president more than senators. You seem to be saying that this is acceptable for men and not women, which is troubling. |
How so? |
