Possibly boycott Nike, since Hayfield is an "official Nike school". The sponsor banners are often from hyper local small businesses whose owners have or had students at the school. I don't think it is right to punish them since many have also supported in years past, prior to this colossal shit show.

It’s not a boycott of Nike that will get anywhere. It is more letting Nike know who they are having represent them. A coach offering drugs to a kid and a school found in violation of rules. Throw in the social media posts of coaches and doesn’t look so great for Nike.

There may some white supremacist at Nike that will feed into the allegations and rumors, then revoke the sponsorship if Hayfield has one. Give it a try. It worked with the VHSL.

They can only expel a student if they do something on FCPS property.

Destroy a relationship? The coach is the coach and the player should respect the coach. When a better player moves into the school zone and transfers in, he should treat them both equally and do what’s best for the team.

The white entitlement is something else.

A black coach (45+) mistreats a white player (16 maybe) its white entitlement?

How was this other child “mistreated” was it because he was replaced or were there other issues. If the kids are practicing and I’m sure every coach has an idea of who they want. Did the other kid try or just claim some sort of mistreatment and then leave. Every parent that has a kid that plays QB knows, that’s a high profile spot, from youth league until as high as you go. I’m not saying anyone is right or wrong because I don’t know, but I do believe in competing

He was mistreated because the coach dared to start the Black kid who was a better player. The coach didn’t understand that the boy was white and he’s supposed to start.

The last resort of those with no argument...claim racism. Got you Hayfraud cucks are pitiful.

I mean - it seems pretty clear that new kid (black?) was better than prior kid (white?)? Life is full of hard knocks - realizing you are not the best (not even close) player in a sport is one of them. Not sure why this is a big deal.

This is funny when talking about the QB. Kid couldn't hack it at a WCAC program so his family ran like children to a school where he could get reps.

Well the white kid gets preference when it comes to quarterback. It’s been that way for years going back before Overton was born. Overton has been around football long enough to know that.

Well, I am reaching out to my SB member McDaniel to let them know I disagree with their support of how Reid handled this and so does every parent in our neighborhood. And I will let them all know that our rep on the SB does not understand that every fcps family besides the Hayfield football team does NOT approve of how this has been handled.

Much better to break the rules and recruit another QB from another school.

Its honestly amazing how out of touch with public sentiment these SB members are. I haven't discussed this with one family who isn't disgusted with FCPS supporting cheating. There are honestly almost school zero issues that so many people are in agreement about.

How is it related to rule violation thread? The link is from June 2020 and says who put together: Hayfield counselor at time, Lynette Henry (now Director of FCPS Educate Fairfax) and Sharia Bryan, who was Penn State law student in 2020. The quoted Dr. Julia Bryan is a Penn State College of Education professor who wrote research papers with Henry. It is 4 year old post.

No intelligent person sees racism in these actions. They see attempts to put a stop to rampant cheating and possibly criminal activity. The only ones who are seeing racism is the Hayfraud boosters and they cannot even string two intelligent sentences together.

What a trash take. This isn't the 1980s. You clearly know nothing about football today.

Was this an attempt at wit? God these Hayfraud boosters don't realize how dumb they make themselves look every time they post. It must be kind of nice having zero self-awareness.

Agree - I guarantee they haven't received one non-Hayfraud constituent note that proactively reached out expressly to support Reid's stance on this. To the contrary, I know of dozens of folks who have never reached out to their SB member (and didn't even know/care who it was) but who have figured it out and written note SPECIFICALLY to express their disgust with how FCPS has handled this whole saga...

For these SB reps to just say "hey for political reasons, let's rally around our hire so we don't look bad" and ignore what has to be a preponderance of constituent notes they've received is disgusting.

Genuine question. How come schools like Oakton, McLean, and Langley do not have this football cheating issue?

Only Hayfield has this issue.

Don’t worry a new thread has been created. Shame on them for not updating their site for FOUR YEARS or more likely still think it is a priority over student mental health since other areas of the website are current
