They wanted to be international influencers whose every word is listened to. They succeeded.

We hear their every word. And they get dragged for everything they say.

It is crazy. The quote is literally there to read. But they continue to absorb the hate.

I'm only seeing the handful of career obsessionists getting offended. Everyone else seems to have a healthy amount of interest. Among the younger generations especially, the interest leans positive.

Yeah, I guess I'm an old fuddy duddy. There's not much he could say to get back into my good books after the blunder about the First Amendment. Not an obsessionist. Just not a fan anymore.

Tbh, I think the Great Resignation is great. We live in one of the most affluent countries on the planet, people should take care of themselves and find good jobs, not just put up with bad ones. But we don't really need a Prince to be making comments about any of this.

Based on what I’m hearing, a lot of people who quit their jobs are suffering from mental health and addiction issues that are exacerbated by economic hardship as well as lack of human connection and purpose.

Most people don’t quit and find a unicorn job.

DP. You are definitely out of touch, and I say that as someone who defends the First Amendment. I think you are massively overreacting.

A lot of people who are staying in their jobs are the same. It's a rough time right now. Quitting a bad job can help.

What exactly was the ‘First Amendment blunder’? And I don’t mean the daily fail version, or the Fox News version. Specifically what did he say that was so personally offensive?

And that’s exactly what he said! That for SOME people it was a blessing. He didn’t say everyone should quit their jobs and stop making money. He just said that for some of the people that left their toxic work environments, it was a positive.

Said the privileged person whose spouse can support them…

Listen, all I’m saying is the comment sounds bad coming from him. I mean, most people’s mental health and stress level would dramatically improve if they could quit their job. But adults who live in the real world can’t easily do that.

NP and that sounds like he said nothing. He’s be better off if he just shut his trap. No one in the US cares about what some British prince who’s never worked a real job has to say.

How do you know what anyones life circumstance is on this board? What are you basing your assumptions on? Who is allowed to speak on a subject then? Do you get to make the rules for every topic?

Obviously the panel he was speaking to wanted to hear what he had to say. Maybe you don’t, but then maybe you should just ignore him?

He said this, verbatim:

"There's so much I want to say about the first amendment. I still don't understand it, but it is bonkers."

That's it! Not a "stan" or whatever these career obsessionists try to say, but this is quite possibly the most mundane statement out there. Is "bonkers" that much of an insult? Would never have registered as one to me.
