Tbh, I think the Great Resignation is great. We live in one of the most affluent countries on the planet, people should take care of themselves and find good jobs, not just put up with bad ones. But we don't really need a Prince to be making comments about any of this.

Based on what I’m hearing, a lot of people who quit their jobs are suffering from mental health and addiction issues that are exacerbated by economic hardship as well as lack of human connection and purpose.

Most people don’t quit and find a unicorn job.

A lot of people who are staying in their jobs are the same. It's a rough time right now. Quitting a bad job can help.

And that’s exactly what he said! That for SOME people it was a blessing. He didn’t say everyone should quit their jobs and stop making money. He just said that for some of the people that left their toxic work environments, it was a positive.

NP and that sounds like he said nothing. He’s be better off if he just shut his trap. No one in the US cares about what some British prince who’s never worked a real job has to say.

He has worked several jobs, and quite famously quit his last one if you'll recall, which is a huge reason why so many people on this thread have gotten their panties in a twist.

They wanted to be international influencers whose every word is listened to. They succeeded.

We hear their every word. And they get dragged for everything they say.

I'm only seeing the handful of career obsessionists getting offended. Everyone else seems to have a healthy amount of interest. Among the younger generations especially, the interest leans positive.

Yeah, I guess I'm an old fuddy duddy. There's not much he could say to get back into my good books after the blunder about the First Amendment. Not an obsessionist. Just not a fan anymore.

What exactly was the ‘First Amendment blunder’? And I don’t mean the daily fail version, or the Fox News version. Specifically what did he say that was so personally offensive?

He said this, verbatim:

"There's so much I want to say about the first amendment. I still don't understand it, but it is bonkers."

That's it! Not a "stan" or whatever these career obsessionists try to say, but this is quite possibly the most mundane statement out there. Is "bonkers" that much of an insult? Would never have registered as one to me.

In context, he was complaining that when he was out and about, he could be photographed. Even when he didn't want to be. He was being critical of the First Amendment and the free press.

DP. You are definitely out of touch, and I say that as someone who defends the First Amendment. I think you are massively overreacting.

+1. He wasn't even criticizing it. He said was "bonkers." If you actually listen to the interview, he is expressing how different it is from the U.S. By bonkers he means surprisingly different.

So sad to see people be outraged over misinformation.

Then why in the world are you hanging on his every word, analyzing it up one side and down the other? Does that seem normal to you?

They never explain that, do they? He could have a private conversation in his yard with the mailman and these crazies will think he is commenting on the US postal service. It doesn’t matter what he does. If he stays quiet, they say he is lazy, if he opens his mouth, everything offends them. It’s truly pathetic.

No. You're making assumptions based off of something he absolutely did not say. He said what he said. Nothing more, nothing less.

Quitting to find a better paying or better suited position is great. Many people though are having to prioritize their mental health over financial security DNF it’s awful.

The bolded is provably wrong by virtue of the fact that there is widespread press coverage of anything Harry says in the US. In fact many people in the US care, and aside from the unstable haters, he polls quite popularly in the US. You are too hate obsessed to understand that, but it's trivially easy to see that the bolded is wrong.

I think what’s scary about the rabid haters is that they don’t want Meghan to have any fans, or anything positive really. At least that’s how I’m reading it. No wonder the poor woman was driven to the point where she was having such negative thoughts when they left England. We haven’t seen her in a couple weeks and people still wish so much ill towards her. It doesn’t matter what she does or doesn’t do.

+1. The tenor and volume of the discourse around her is really something else.

No because they want PRIVACY.

You know, when they're not galavanting across the country WITHOUT THEIR CHILDREN.
