The undergrad engineering college is huge. But you’re also failing to isolate affluent OOS student participation in Greek life - it’s certainly higher than 17%.

lol. All of the Michigan boosters must feel pretty silly now. Ann Arbor is brutally cold, grey and dreary. If you're a rich kid, USC is a no brainer vs. Michigan, Northwestern or any of the cold weather flyover state Big Ten colleges.

This forum has thousands of unique visitors. There isn't a single UMich troll, there are many people who simply don't think UMich is all that great of a college, nor is Ann Arbor anything special. I don't care how many "best college town" rankings they pay for, it is a cold, grey, provincial and boring flyover town in a de-industrialized dying state. Maybe UMich was about as good as it gets when Detroit was and the Midwest was booming in the 1950s, 60s and 70s but now? The Rust Belt is a dreary has-been and rich kids have better options.
