The band also resisted. Seems that there are many cracks in lumen’s armor. |
It crossed my mind when she told Mark, “But she is me.” (Or “I am her”, whatever ) that she was saying she is the outie? But her personality seems entirely different. |
I take it more positively. That wherever you plant people, even with poor soil, they will grow relationships and independent thoughts. |
She tricked him when Helly R engaged in the ruse of the overtime protocol. He didn't know it was her innie until the speech, even though they talked in the bathroom before the speech. Helly R. is 'his' because he believes he owns all the innies. That whole scene is about how he loves the innies best. He says when you were a child I saw Kier in you, but then you grew up (changed, gained experience and a personality shaped by the world) and Kier was gone, and I hated you. I saw Kier in you again in the speech and in you now (when she attacked him). I.e., he sees Kier in the innies, who are unadulterated by the world and experience. So my question is what is Kier to him really? Why does he love the pure id/ego absent life experience? |
What? Are you stupid? |
You must make a great colleague in brainstorming sessions. Such respectful, constructive input. |
I did think it was funny that this is the second season finale of a TV series with a rebellious marching band (Andor being the first). |
Agree with bolded poster! Mean-girl poster, we're walking you down the Exports Hall and putting you on the express train to Cold Harbor. |
Because they’re floating! They don’t touch the ground. |
Did you…even watch the episode? |
Love this. Great insight. |
What happens to Mark now? I hope Gemma gets out of the building. |
I loved that finale so much! I’m a huge marching band fan and this is the last show I’d have expected to see one in. Milchick was amazing as always. Also absolutely loved goat lady rebelling to save Emile. As far as the Mark and Gemma plot it made perfect sense to me that innie Mark would save her but also himself and not want to abandon Helly. All the innies seem like a more badass, assertive and yet still kind version of their outie self, uncorrupted by the world. That’s why Dylan’s outie was so impressed and same with Helena’s dad. |
Jame is going to make sure that Helly R doesn't become Helena again. And Mark can stay with her. Maybe Lumon will set them up in Kier's replica house where Dylan had his waffle party. And then Gemma will have to rescue Mark. |
I mean, PP literally said she didn't understand how the Marks were talking to each other and it was very, very clear that they were sharing the video camera. You'd have to be a complete idiot to not understand that. So yeah, PP is stupid. |
