"I, of course, pounded and displayed ugly colors to Amber on a recent journey," Depp said in a text message to a friend, the actor Paul Bettany, in July 2013, which was shown to jurors.

"I am an insane person and not so fair headed after too much of the drink," Depp continued. "Weed, pills ... Fine!!! Booze??? My capacity is too large and I won't stop ... Ugly and sad ... Oh, how I love it."

The Johnny stans conveniently ignore his history of truly nasty behavior.

I don’t much care what people put in private texts unless he actually murdered her. I wouldn’t want anyone going through my personal texts in the midst of an abusive relationship. Who know what I would say or have said about people who have betrayed or harmed me.

Then you probably shouldn’t get on the stand and claim you never spoke in violent language about a woman when your texts are flooded with such language.

Believe women? No.

Listen to women. Listen to men. Listen to people.

"The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I'm heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband," Heard said.

That's her story and she's sticking to it! It was all because of Depp's sway, despite a "mountain of evidence." SMH.

She’s right and I’m heartbroken for her. Depp was abusive and she had every right to write her op Ed and share her experience with an abuser. That she is imperfect as a victim doesn’t negate his abuse. It also doesn’t mean she defamed him. Sad day for women but this is the direction our country is headed in so not a total surprise. Soon you’ll be able to beat and terrify women with impunity.

I see them all too well, actually. I know he's terrible. But the jury decision is still legitimate, based on the facts presented. They were not making a moral judgement on his character. They were making a technical judgement on defamation.

This is how the law works, PP. Sometimes the terrible person wins because the facts presented are in his favor. Heard did not present a strong argument, at all.

And she's a terrible person, too, BTW. Just younger and prettier.

The jury found that he defamed too so not really…

Guilty of defamation and abuse are two wholly different things.

This case was about defamation so…

Signed, a liberal feminist me-too supporting woman who thinks Amber used the me-too movement to up her notoriety and has now had it rightfully backfire in her face.

I believed her, mostly.

Of course, vile monsters like Coulter are latching on to it.

Only one of her counter-claims was successful and that wasn't even against Depp but his agent and was for only $2M.

Furthermore, in the court of public opinion, I don't think Depp has ever been more popular. She, though....I don't think she's going to have many opportunities going forward.

No. Any decent human thinks he’s a POS after this.

The campaign online to clear Depp is just another form of MAGA in this country.

Like literally…when you’re a star, they let you do it - here - the “it” is beat your wife.

Completely unsurprised by the disgusting Pieces of Sh!T that surround us here in the good ol’ USA!

He didn't beat his wife.

The UK court found he did.

So many things wrong with this verdict. Can we start our own separate thread. I need to get away from the Marjorie Taylor Greene’s in this thread. Ya know the women that try so hard to be a guy’s type of girl. Probably normalizes being slapped around. Pumps out 6 kids just to keep her man around. Loves little d*cks and big guns. I expected they’d both receive damages that would null each other out. But to clearly state that she lied is crazy.

But she did clearly lie. Several times.

So did Depp—about his substance abuse, the black eye, and his text messages. Yet somehow you have no problem with that.

He lied about trivial things or that only affected him. She lied about being raped with a glass bottle.

He lied about more than that. He accused Rottenborn of altering his email just to frame him. He blatantly lied about never hitting a woman, but he doesn’t consider Heard a woman. To him, she’s a c*unt, flappy fish etc. How do you know she lied about the rape? You must know that many victims do not get a rape kit done. Many times they scrub themselves raw to get the scum off their bodies. Many don’t report for fear of the same retaliation Heard received. How does the jury know she lied. They don’t! You don’t! I don’t! Do most victims record or take pics while they’re being abused? To make a unanimous decision in Depp’s favor should really make you worry if you’re a woman. If you’re a man, you should worry for your daughters.

I realize the term beyond a reasonable doubt doesn’t apply to a civil defamation case, but they unanimously decided she lied over semantics between donate and pledge. There was no expiration date. She said these things: it was her intention to donate 7m, she pledged 7m and she intended to keep that promise. Then Depp filed the suit costing her many millions. This is unreasonable? This entire trial was about the gotcha moments. Depp cleverly lied when he said he didn’t write checks or donate because his name attached to a charity event was more impactful. You believe this? He pissed his money away. He had none to donate because the guy was burning through 20 million a month and essentially demanded his talent agency give him 30 million because he’s Johnny Depp. Depp’s single email beginning with “global annihilation” was transparent, but excused. Judge A’s voice was obviously shaken when she dismissed the jury. I think her mind was blown.

They are both mentally health challenged. Wish they could have had a verdict to prevent both from marrying other people ever again.

True that both of them are probably not innocent.

It's because it's true. I will never understand middle-aged white women. The Karen effect turned into the Youngkin-effect turned into Johnny stans. It's the same people and we know it.
