Their insurance will drop them and it will be very difficult to get new policies at comparable rates. One top of the tens in thousands in legal fees they rack up. They will feel the pain regardless. |
Agree and the writings of a murderer might not be something you'd want in your head. The one I know offered narcissistic explanations; more or less a toddler saying I didn't get my way so she didn't get her life. |
As I recall Brian was not wanted by police until after he had already left his parents home and was dead. His parents did not harbor a fugitive. The police knew he was at his parents house. The PP is correct, there is no legal obligation to affirmatively answer questions particularly about a crime you had no part in. Neither set of parents is a winner here and I have read nothing that indicates Brian’s parents had any involvement in his criminal activities. This lawsuit is prolonged public pain and huge legal bills for both sides, with no chance of Gabby gaining from this. |
The insurance policy will also defend them. Even if they decline to renew after this event the Laundries are unlikely to face a similar one and will just have to pay higher premiums with another company. |
Florida home insurance rates are ALREADY 2X the national average with very few choices because the entire state is a hurricane zone. If they're dropped and can't get a new policy, they'll have to take the insurance company to court or mediation out of their own pocket or just not have insurance in the next hurricane and watch their house be wiped out, flooded, or made uninhabitable. |
If I am having a hard time shooting myself in the head using the pointer finger of my right (dominant) hand because I’m shaking or the trigger is hard to pull, I’m going to use both hands to hold the gun and use my dominant thumb to pull the trigger. That means I would likely be shooting myself on the front or left side of my head despite the fact that I’m right handed. That FBI agent has a limited imagination. |
Bolded is not universally true in Florida. If you are not in a flood zone, your house is priced typically. I pay the same as I did 'up north'. |
Guess what? The Laundrie house is a flood zone. Overall, North Port has a severe risk of flooding over the next 30 years, which means flooding is likely to impact day to day life within the community. |
I can't imagine that they would stay in their home or in Florida. They'll probably move as soon as they can and try to fade away. |
I do not disagree w/your points here. However unless any one of us has experienced the pain of losing a beloved child in a very public way - who are any of us to compare justice to vengeance?? Grieving is such a unique and individual process. And one that should ever be judged. |
It is an odd scenario but what you’ve stated 9/10 would be opposite, you wouldn’t switch to the weaker hand you’d bring over the less dominate hand for support. The hand you aren’t used to using isn’t going to have the grasp. You’d still use your dominant side because mentally you feel it’s stronger. Just like catching a ball or playing baseball, your body denotes a stronger side or preferred side. Think about washing your hair with your less dominant hand or which way you turn to open doors with which hand/arm. |
If I’m using my right thumb, I’m not switching to my weak hand, I’m using both hands. The weak hand is only aiding the dominant hand in order to shoot at a different angle. In any case, it’s all a load of weak speculation that’s being used to bolster the theory that someone else killed him. Without any other evidence, a bullet to the left side of the head does not indicate that someone murdered him. |
| I sort of think by being active in something can be a great distraction from having to fully grieve a personal loss. 😢 |
A basis. Yes. |
