I have a friend who was from a famous political family in another country. When the regime fell, people came after her parents at the airport, but she and her siblings had been taken out separately one by one days earlier.

To me that makes sense. The annual income from the Duchy of Cornwall is $21 million. Even if he'd only been making that since 2000 - that's $420 million. Assume he put away half automatically for investments - that's still $200 million over 20 years.

Divide that further in half and say he spent $100 million on his children, their weddings, and his lifestyle in the past two decades - he still has $100 million left.

And he's been Prince of Wales since 1969.
