I went to a friend’s wedding on the Eastern Shore when my oldest was 2-3 weeks. I would unquestionably have gone to my grandfather’s funeral.

I went 4 states away. It really isn’t a big deal. Unless you had complications, bedrest after giving birth isn’t appropriate and just increases your risk of a blood clot.
