I've seen this situation at LS (AL,RP,RB,etc) and VRSC (NE,ED,MJ) all those coaches private training some of their players and then those players become faves and play the whole game. If a player decides or cant continue to train then they become bench players. |

Can claim it as a business expense on his taxes? |
Pipe down, Karen. |
How urban and edgy |
Apparently you have to check this thread to get all the facts. (Insert sarcasm) Rumor is GD will coach 2013's and 2011's GA teams. Maybe asst. 2010's. |
Interesting, what year/coach? |
|
Are you saying that GFR's permits started at 5:00 pm but that this coach would have secret paid lessons with select groups of players, and schedule them at 4 pm, before the field permits started?
|
|
If no one had the permit for the field (e.g. before 5 pm), then anyone can walk on to the field and use it for recreation. People can walk right through the middle of soccer training and start throwing a frisbee, and no one can tell you to move or get off. Maybe he was pretending he had exclusive use of the fields.
However, its against County rules to hold paid trainings and classes for large groups on unpermitted field space. You have to pay for a permit. |

All the half truths and vagueness around his paid "invite only" trainings are very suspicious.
At what time of day and on what field did he schedule his private freelance trainings? |
1. GFR permits started after 5pm. Anyone can use fields prior to it. (Play lacrosse, football) 2. Nothing was ever in secret. His business is splattered all over his car. Nothing is invite only, you have to be pro active if you want to supplement. No one was ever not included, it was a choice if you didn’t want to add to your club training. 3. Nothing was ever with select players (only those that chose to make time). Groups were max 4-5. Never needed a permit because what he did was NOT large group training. 4. If he wanted his trainings to be secret and sleazy why would he do them in front of everyone on home turf right before his own club practice. Apply logic? 5. From personal experience some not all players he trained did NOT play in games as much as others. It was not a pay to play environment. |
|
OK, so he scheduled his freelance trainings on non permitted field space.
(That's against County rules if his business is for-profit, BTW. Any for-profit activity needs a permit) Regardless, I'm curious: did he happily share space with anyone else who showed up to use the field --those are the rules as pp mentioned--or did he set up a huge coned training area and pretend like he had exclusive access to the field? |
You need a permit for any for-profit activity, even if its just a few kids. |
The haters aren’t interested in truth or logic. Their victimhood has given them an axe so they’re going to grind it, truth and logic be damned. |
| Its amazing to me that any club would hire a coach who seems to cause drama and problems wherever he goes. |
