REV Soccer Only CHAT, No drama please

The mass exodus to begin in march and April as spots are offered at better clubs. The younger teams are noticing that the club has delivered very few college commitments and failing at national level competitions. Once the recession sets in, it will be hard to carry the weight of that facility. MLSNext is a real winner.

Def favoring the boys right now. Girls teams almost never see Field 1 with the nice stands & snack bar. When leadership has their own boys in the program, it creates an obvious conflict of interest. CC clearly has plans in place for growth (better futsal program this winter, Super Y coming, doing something with the extra land there, etc. But having him coach teams doesn’t help with his time management skills in my opinion. With the ongoing mess in GFR the club may stand to benefit from coaches & players heading that way next year. But def need to clean house of some coaches to advance the program and avoid kids jumping to best geographic rival - LS/NVA. Parents notice the coaching issues there. Just my two cents.

I am a Rev parent too and my son’s team (MLS Academy) never played on field 1 once this fall, and the boys have felt the favoritism has been all to the GA teams. So, it is interesting how things are viewed.

We have been here for several years and yes the old days of the small club was fun but things are better now than 1 or 2 years ago. Some coaches that needed to go have and few more could do the same. I see things improving even with the drama of this year.

I doubt we will stick around to find out. No coaching and too much favoritism of mediocre players.

Jim’s daughter graduated. What’s in it for him? DoD and CIA pay better than a youth “club”

How are they doing in CA so far?

Not going well for U16s and U17s so far

U17 goalie got injured 1st half of 2nd game and out. High pace exposed weaknesses. Some players struggled to match the tempo, making it clear the coach should consider rotating fresh legs, adjusting positions, and creating a new spark to stay competitive

Thanx, we knew the excuses would trickle in sooner or later. Thank God we Have CC tho the Superman and also our facilities have a bar.

I don’t think people were realistically expecting Rev to make waves in Champions Cup. They are competing, but it is tough sledding.

No big surprises here. Recruit weaker players from other clubs and revert to kick and run in an environment where team play dominates and you come out a loser.
