| Private school lacrosse Moms are the ultimate Karen’s, as this discusssion proves. |
You're not wrong, but including private school lax dads makes you more right. |
|
I think this spring will be interesting. For both IAC and WCAC. Kind of up for grab imo.
I'd give the nod to Landon for IAC because I'm more familiar with that league. Prep may take some time with new coach and system. Bullis drops off huge with their 2025 class all graduating, huge drop off in talent there and the school not bringing in lax players anymore. Episcopal with a couple years into their commitment to lax makes a move higher imo. For WCAC, I think STJ and Gonzaga are top two. Stags surprised some folks, but I thought they were gritty and good moreso than the rest of league were "off" but anyone know what their status is on reloading? Is Good Counsel ready to make a serious move? |
IAC: GP - They have a returning goalie, a top fogo and a lot of college players Bullis - Has fogo depth even though they didn't get many reps last year, a returning goalie and some really good positional players but not a lot depth. Depth doesn't matter as much in high school as it does in club unless they get some injuries Landon - totally untested goalie and no fogo (the Mount kid isn't his brother). The poles will have to carry the load. STA - Really good but uncommitted goalie and fogo and a couple of other guys. They might steal a win or 2 with the goalie. Episcopal - they've got some guys but just as many transferred out as in SSSAS - awful |
WCAC SJC - the most depth and the most college commits GC - The returning 2 are really good. Some other good guys revolving around them. Moved an attack to middie to make way for a super soph PVI - Some good seniors but really not much of anything else. The campus move took its toll Heights - Yeah, I said it. GZ - The IG wunder kid is gonna be worn out having to take fo's and carry the load on the offensive side. STMR - 2, 1 goal upset wins does not mean it'll carry over DM - The cupboard is bare after last year |
|
WCAC: SJC is plainly first (on paper). We’ll see if they are also on the field.
GC and PVI are both better than Gonzaga on paper. Gonzaga is fourth. DeMatha and Heights are 5 and 6. Ryken is way worse this year and no better than 7th. BI, DJO, and BM are on the bottom again. |
Bullis has zero depth. IAC is back what it used to be like 15 yeees ago , Landon vs GP. |
2026 Bullis Commits - Navy (M), UPenn (M), Dickinson (G), OWU (A), Stevenson (A) 2027 Bullis Commits - Navy (D), Penn (M), St. Joseph's (LSM), Hampton (D), Holy Cross (M), Hampton (M) Bullis has 11 commits with returning fogo's and a goalie. They'll finish 2nd at worst in the IAC. |
Those schools are lacrosse powerhouses. they will make noise. |
GP 2026 - Princeton (A), Army (FOGO), Villanova (D), Fairfield (D), Tampa (D), Tampa (A), F&M (D), RIT (M), Denison (M) GP 2027 - Princeton (M) Brown (A), Johns Hopkins (Midfield) - recovering from acl, Navy (A), Holy Cross (M) GP with 14 but fairly even. GP gets the final edge with experience coming back at goalie and fogo and what should be better coaching |
| Ok |
|
Prep is the clear favorite to win the IAC this spring.
|
| Where's the betting market on this? I'll take SSSAS to make the IAC finals at 100-1 |
Thanks for proving once again that that private school lacrosse Moms are the ultimate Karen’s. What team does your son play for? I gotta know. |
Why would you use an apostrophe to make "Karen" plural but not use an apostrophe to pluralize "Mom," that's what I gotta know |
