Why would they call it as a closure?

Not necessarily. It says they WILL be reevaluating by early morning and if necessary will announce a closure by 5 am

Maybe it will depend on how hungover the administrators are from all the partying

Gross

Probably not far from the truth, though.

No. Administrators have families and jobs just like you. Don't join cyberbullying just because you think it's casual fun.

You don't think people with families or jobs drink? Look at Feds the first day of a government shutdown. They hit the bars.

They often say something similar. Nothing in the weather tonight will make the conditions worse. If they thought they were ready tonight, they're going to be ready tomorrow.

I don’t think they’re ready at the moment. I think they HOPE to be ready by 5 a.m.

Then show a picture of just one school from tonight that shows it isn't ready.

Roads, sidewalks, and parking lots are clear. They're ready.

Lots of pictures on social media

My neighborhood is ice and my walkways have frozen over. I will definitely be late to work. Not gonna break an ankle to get there on time.

There are many pictures and reports of bus loops/school parking lots not being clear on the Mocosnow Facebook page. Go there and see!

Stop generalizing. You're offensive. And no, most of my friends are feds and none hit the bars.

Any teachers?
What do you think?

Talk about rebutting a generalization with a generalization.

Where are the pictures? The comments in posts from today don't have any of schools. At least, I don't see any. What post are you looking under there?

Why did PG schools call it as a closure? Probably the same reasons.

Another generalization rebutted by generalization.

Right! Because the pictures aren’t there it just mean all schools are plowed

Anonymous wrote:So what do folks think? Does the "we will reassess" mean if will probably turn into a closure? Does the "abundance of caution" language mean it probably won't? Any guesses?

it does seem awfully wiggly...

MoCo is done with roads. If they somehow forgot lots (which I doubt), they're have plenty of time to do them tonight and tomorrow morning.

Talking about bus lanes and parking lots which are the responsibility of mcps and as of today, based on other ppl’s photos of their schools, they still have quite a few to clear. It’s a joke that roads are fine and school lots are still snowy

I hope it's a snow day. My kids are so disappointed.
