It reminds me of the posts here about the young family that died hiking in the mountains in California. People came up with the most ridiculous, illogical situations and many assumed murder suicide without a shred of anything pointing to that.

YES. The most obvious thing was always heat stroke. But instead everyone went from toxic gas cloud, to contaminated water, to family annihilation by the husband.

In the end, it was heat stroke. A horrific and sad story, but the most obvious reason was in fact the reason.

Was it a boulder?

Boulders, tree limbs, animals, jealous husband, wife with ppd, lightning, various gasses, sasquatch, chupacabra...

People wrote the most horrible things about both parents believing one of them murdered the child then killed themselves out of guilt. It was filled with horrible assumptions.

So what’s the most obvious answer to you for this situation?

I'm wondering the same at this point when the husband still has not been cleared after a month.

Set up and JR was wrong place wrong time as a deflection? It has happened before.

Odds were it was heat stroke.

Odds re: a stabbed wife would be DH. JR would be the set up to shift guilt. Sadly, all too many men having affairs kill their wives and try to create a story.

Unlike the couple, JR is from this area and his many longtime friends say he would never harm a woman never mind stab one to death. No history of violence ever.

Did DH have a motive for wanting DW off the scene? Again, he has not been cleared by LE and it has been a month.

A month? It hasn't even been three weeks.

So how did JR show up there on a weekday morning before work? I'm open to an AP hook up angle, but i don't get where JR works into it.

Could be a case like this one, time will tell.

We don't know yet.

Could also have been a spur of the moment thing.

Or his narrative could be true, but still not cleared weeks on.

Aren't those the 3 scenarios?

Christine was the nicest and most generous person I have ever met, and I am deeply sad and shocked with this tragedy.

Is that why he had a gun in the house?

yes, he would have a gun as part of his job

He worked for the IRS. A bean counter with a gun?

An IRS Special Agent does carry a gun.

Still struggling to understand what type of tax enforcement requires a gun

My brother works for IRS and while he doesn’t carry a gun, he has been threatened and had to have protection from the Marshalls office. It was a case involving one of those the US doesn’t exist, I don’t have to pay taxes type or protester
