Single Issue Voter: Controlling The Borders

Government sponsored injection clinics? You want the government to sponsor injection of people with destructive life destroying drugs?

Which is worse? Death from an unregulated supply, or injections that are safe and will not kill you? In a facility that has resources that can help you quit? The death from fentanyl is from overdosing. That is what we need to prevent. All of your moralizing is secondary to stopping the death.

You know nothing about drug use other than what you have seen on tv. Users will use regardless of any law or enforcement. The proof of that is the fact that drugs are easily obtained in prisons. How can you secure the border more than a prison? You can’t. We will never be able to stop enough drugs at the border to make any dent in the availability of drugs in the USA. It has never been hard to procure drugs even after billions of dollars and decades of trying. Wake up to reality so that people may live.

Can anyone who thinks that drug use can effectively be stopped by stronger border protections please describe one single place on earth where that approach has been successful? No, you can’t. It’s complete madness to expect that to be the solution to our drug problem. If North Korea still has a drug problem with their highly militarized border then what exactly do you expect to happen in the USA?

Nobody thinks it can be stopped.
However, the number of fentanyl poisoning deaths has exploded under Biden. The cartels are emboldened. They know to direct migrants to areas to illegally cross in order to cause our border patrol to shift attention away from where they bring drugs and other contraband (including humans) through.

Way to go, Biden!!!
But, according to Mayorkas, our border is secure!

Chinese illegal immigrants are crossing into US in unprecedented numbers

Chinese nationals are crossing the U.S.-Mexico border into the U.S. in unprecedented numbers this year, with the first few months of FY 2023 already eclipsing the total for 2022.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) reports that just under 2,000 Chinese nationals crossed the border in FY 2022, but the first few months of FY 2023 have already seen 4,300 encounters, according to federal data.

The wave of Chinese migrants comes as the country bristles against Chinese President Xi Jinping's continued crackdown on freedoms. China saw a large wave of protests in recent months following Xi's widespread COVID-19 lockdowns.

"So the word is out, right?," Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, told Axios. "If you can get to our southern border, you have a pretty good shot at getting in, and it has changed the demographics."

ITA.
And, the number of Chinese nationals coming in has increased 900% over last year at this time.
They are being released into the country with a Notice to Report.
Biden twiddles his thumbs.

Because this is by design. How can you not know that?

+100
These people conflate "immigrants" with "illegal immigrants" constantly. On purpose.

Title 42 is scheduled to end on May 11. This administration has no plans for dealing with the anticipated influx of migrants..... more than we have already seen in the past two years.

It has been a crisis for over 2 years now. It is just going to get worse.

My single issue is getting 2/3 Democrats in House and Senate and passing legal abortion legislation, meaningful immigration reform, and gun legislation banning all AR-15s and legislation that ensures manufacturers of these weapons of war can be sued.
