There are racists all over in every single county. Not just white people can be racist.

Here is mine - yes, while every person is equally important, some regions/countries are more important than others. Yes - it is going to be a much bigger deal if Russia invades Ukraine and Europe enters a war and starts world war three than if some countries in Africa continue fighting each other.

I liked this one post I read the other day that said something like all this talk about racism - while true - going on in Ukraine is similar to people saying "All Lives Matter" during the last year. Now isn't the time the make racism equal to or above what is going on in Ukraine.

Of course there is racism in Ukraine, Poland,... or Italy (yes, my son's elementary school friend who came back from Italy after 3 years made my son, a clueless middle school kid, cringe). Any old homogenies population has racism and they are not even aware/ashamed of it.

Ukraine is fighting for its existence. I am sure when they win and rebuild themselves, they will work on these issues. For now, help out the black and brown people on the border if you can.

Saying we shouldn't care about the Ukraine because of the treatment of the students (some of them Indian, though no one put that in the OP) is short sighted. Sticking your head in the sand isn't going to help you.

It's classic shooting one's self in the foot that radical progressives do all the time. They end up being fine with Russia destroying Ukraine and killing millions of Ukrainians because some Ukrainians are racist. I work with people like this. In my case, they sabotaged assistance that would have helped a lot of people because someone who worked at the donor organization made an Instagram post a year ago that they deemed "fat shaming". Perfect is the enemy of the good.
