Coconut oil in coffee - YUMMY!

Anonymous
When a friend told me she did this, my first reaction was "yuck," but boy was I wrong. It's delicious. I was a black coffee drinker, now it's coffee & coconut oil. Heart healthy and all sorts of other benefits.

So does it just give it the flavor without making it oily?

Thanks,
Your fellow three year-old

That sounds so disgusting and an unnecessary way to add even more fat to your diet.

Thanks, but I get enough fat from Avocados, nuts, and various oils for cooking. No need to start slurping it up each morning.

Coconut oil is also a very healthy fat. If you eat a diet without processed foods, and do most of your own cooking, adding healthy fats here and there is not a bad thing. I add coconut oil to my coffee in the morning and it keeps me satifsfied until lunch time without snacking.

I add a tablespoon or two. It makes my coffee taste a little thicker, but not really greasy. Coconut oil, and cocoa powder with black coffee is great!

I'll stick to my mid-morning stack of a half of a fresh avocado and leave the coconut oil for the eggs in the morning.

Fat is not harmful, especially good fats.

You know that people put cream in their coffee and tea, which is loaded with fat? How is coconut oil any different?

Not sure if you mean to come across as a "my good fat is better than you good fat", but coconut oil sounds much more disgusting in eggs than in coffee.
