Plus its fun to figure out which nerdy fogo dads spout off on here anonymously.

Saint Mary’s from Annapolis dominates McDonogh yesterday from start to finish!

Things in the MIAA just got very interesting!

And Landon beat ST. Mary's in Annapolis a couple of weeks ago. A lot of parity this year in Baltimore and D.C.

St. Mary's beats St Johns 14 -4.

Landon loses to St Johns 12 - 10

Landon beats St Mary's 10 - 6

Go figure.....

Yes, its going to be a very interesting Spring on the lacrosse fields around here. Cant wait for some of the games, both boys and girls, as right now there doesn't seem to be a clear road to the ISL or IAC championships. Its going to be fun.

Seems to be a bit of a down year for DC area lax generally. No area teams in the top 10 of the US Lax Mag national rankings. Gonzaga 12, Bullis 17 and Landon 25.

On the girls' side, SSSAS reclaims the top spot within Alexandria (good for #8 nationally) but no other local privates in the Top 10.

Or maybe the top DC area teams are evenly matched with no single dominant force. Perhaps it's becoming more like Baltimore.

Seems to be a good thing!

Prep also has a big win against Gonzaga. St. Stephens is the only team in the country that has a win of national power Hill Academy.

Bullis has no quality wins, their ranking is purely based on Ty Xanders blue chip recruits. Playing Delmareor Cape Henlopen or Chestnut Academy or West Chester East won't prep you for IAC play but a great way to pad your player stats

Bullis is still the team to beat!

How can the team to beat already have two losses for the year?

Oh, I've missed you, PP! Welcome back to the thread!!! I've been wondering about you in your absence, and I hope that you and your family are well. I bet that you are having such an enjoyable experience reading all of these wonderful posts. It is great that there are so many parents in the area who have such an interest in their children's sports!

Until we meet again, cheers!

Bad loss for Prep today against North Carolina power Cardinal Gibbons who had played Landon the day before.

Prep's coaching staff really needs to get it together or it will be a long season in the IAC.

I disagree with the previous poster who said it is a down year for DC area lacrosse.

There are 5 teams ranked in the Inside Lacrosse National Rankings - these rankings tend to be pretty accurate. (Gonzaga, Bullis, Landon, St Johns, Saint Mary's)

As the season plays on, I'm sure a few of these teams might drop out of the rankings as they will beat up one one another.

SSAS is not even the best girls team in Alexandria. They duck BI until they are forced to play them in Virginia playoffs.
