Arlington didn't do this for all older kids.

Just the ones that matter. Got it.
Well, yeah they said only the best get to play up regardless of grade.

Congrats, you both can say you're right. Isn't America grand?

Great then we all agree that Aug birthdays that arent good enought to make their grade A team play on their grade B team. Problem solved.

Clubs said opposite of course. Best play up, not best play on age. But you already knew that and refuse to accept that club is age based not grade based.

Feel free to go grade based with your kid and bugger off about others kids.

Keep the playing down dream alive. Such a perfect way to get ignored by college coaches.

No need to keep it alive. Some 5% of all players were misaligned before despite it really only connected to a few months. Probably will be more this time around as coaches and parents better understand RAE.

it's that made up boomer talk know it ranting that got you banned from the new thread. Dialogue with normal people can't happen when you keep trying to get that August girl off your Sept girls team.

Eastside and ZfC Copa said college coaches don't care about your age, they talk to juniors no matter their youth team, transfers and foreign kids. If you knew recruiting 10 years ago under SY, it doesn't apply today. Foreign and transfer players changed the game.

Any club that tells you they know exactly how this change will affect recruiting is lying. Most college coach don't even know that yet. Even the ones that were around a decade ago before BY will need to figure out how to adjust. They are as much in the dark on how this will all play out as parents/players are.

The one thing that will likely be true moving forward is that college coaches are likely to lean even heavier into individual school ID camps until everything plays out more. Club age groups don't matter there, just graduation date.

Good point. Gladwell's 2008 Outliers really brought the topic to the forefront. The oldest in an agengroup always got first bite, now everybody except the antivaxer types know it.

Yup, August was so close to the biggest loser but they switched explicitly for them so biggest winner. Can't imagine some anon guy on the Internet is able to fool any of them to unnecessarily play up an age group.
