I believe fully and wholeheartedly she is lying.

Well she did lie about flying. Supposedly she didn’t want to come to DC because she would have to fly. Turns out she flew to DC in the summer to see family in Rehoboth and has flown to many destinations around the world

I completely believe the assault occurred, but she has no evidence of who did it. The fact that she fell apart for the remainder of high school and two years of college never raised her parents concern or that of a Holton-Arms Arms counselor. People of her SES would have had her at a shrink.

I know - why??

Crickets. She's just fine about flying all over the world. She lied again and again. Sad.

And laughed while she said it. That was weird as hell.

Her lawyers hid many things from her. They didn't tell her that they had used her inability to fly as a stalling tactic. They didn't tell her that Grassley had offered that the committee come and interview her in CA.

I agree. Why do you think?

They could have done this with a forensic interview of Dr Ford in California. Dems wanted to make this a spectacle to discredit and humiliate Kavanaugh to make him withdraw. Let’s see if their plan works. Ford is politically naive and allowed herself to be used. Wait until she sorts out what was done to her by the Democrats.

They could have done it with the FBI, but the Republicans refused. Democrats suggested letting the FBI handle it many times, and were rebuffed.

Gosh, I can’t imagine why he’d be upset. Can you?

He was acting like a Supreme Court Justice. He was acting like the blowhard at HOA meetings who uses big words that don't mean what he thinks they mean.

Exactly. Aren’t liberals the ones always complaining that men don’t show their emotions enough? If he hadn’t shown his very real disgust and devastation, they’d all be claiming he was too calm, cold, and disinterested. There is simply nothing that will ever please this crowd.

I was very impressed with his forcefulness. The time for being polite and deferential (which he certainly was in previous hearings) is OVER. I’m glad he’s speaking up for himself.

“Liberals” aren’t “always” anything. The man’s rage scared me.

His “rage”?? So I guess if you were falsely accused of assault, you’d be perfectly polite and calm? PLEASE. He was absolutely permitted to display his utter disgust with this idiocy. Some of the questions he was asked (Senator Whitehouse, I’m looking at you) were beyond what anyone should have to answer - and yet he did. I think he acquitted himself as well as his raw emotions would allow. Which I thought was very well.
Really hope you never have to defend yourself from false accusations. You might actually feel some justified rage.

Yes, sort of like the questions Kavanaugh had drafted in the past: "Would you be lying if you said that the president placed a cigar in your vagina" ? The nerve of some people! Spare me your pearl-clutching...

Speaking of pearl-clutching... are you the PP who said his rage “scared” you?? So men are or aren’t supposed to express emotion? Which is it today?

She will have two front doors at her house because of her claustrophobia that prevents her from flying — except to widespread destinations.

give it up

The poster asked what happens to her. The answer is she goes back to status quo with two front doors to calm her.

You can be mad AND respectful. We teach this to our children.

+1,000,000. And isn't a judge supposed to be able to do that?

She was very clear in her testimony. She felt it was her civic duty to speak up and let the committee know. what they do with that information is not her responsibility, it is theirs.

That said....ANYONE who is so righteous as to say that he was wrong to get upset is insane.

He probably can't couch is daughter's basketball team again
He probably will be a pariah for the rest of his life...people in extremely blue maryland will think he is a rapist.
He probably is fighting to stay married and to do something to get is daughter on his side.

I just think we forget these people are human.

Poor guy. There are far worse things like ill-health, war or having your child be a victim of gun violence Forgive me if I don't shed a tear for a guy accused of attacking women on 3 separate occasions who claims he's a victim.

Then you didn't get the point of my post. If he is guilty he should go down...but to have him take it w/o doing anything is stupid. Again he is done no matter what.

If he really felt he were innocent he would have insisted on the FBI investigation. He has dirty secrets (although the alcohol abuse and being an ass are no longer secrets) that he didn't want exposed. He may have been angry, but he would have held up.

Cosby went all angry about being accused too. It just doesn't mean anything either way.

That's pathetic. He's a JUDGE. (appellate, yes). But he understands the process - do you really think he thinks its okay for a defendant who believes he has wrong accused to talk back to the questioning attorney as he did? No, he would not. No judge would.

Lost my sentence:
He may have been angry but he would have held up, done the FBI investigation and he would have been fine. But the refusal for the FBI investigation is really at odds with his claim that he is not guilty.

American Bar Association calls on Judiciary Committee to Halt Kavanaugh Vote until FBI Investigation is Done.

The American Bar Association is calling on the Senate Judiciary Committee to halt the consideration of President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh until an FBI investigation is completed into the sexual assault allegations that have roiled his nomination.

In a strongly worded letter obtained by CNN Thursday, the organization said it is making the extraordinary request "because of the ABA's respect for the rule of law and due process under law," siding with concerns voiced by Senate Democrats since Christine Blasey Ford's decades-old allegations became public.

He WAS both mad AND respectful. He had a simmering rage that was apparent (and justified), but he was also coolly polite. He did a good job for someone who has had false accusations lobbed at him (some patently absurd), who has had to protect his children from this, and who has likely had zero sleep for the past ten days. You guys seriously need to give this man a break.

I had missed a word.

He was just so pathetic! Too angry and belligerent to even make sense.

Let me tell you about high school!!! I got in to YALE!!! He is nuts.
