It has not been mentioned in anything I’ve read.
all the articles I e read had said witnesses described her screaming and new by the way she screamed something terrible had happened. My guess is she was near.

I don't know -- don't those people who knowingly let their kids climb right over the "don't come any further" signs into the animal enclosures at the zoo end up suing when the kids get hurt?

Yes. And those types are parents are the same who think the cruise line is at fault here.

The dad was on the ship, too. Why wasn’t he right there? He’s a cop so he would have instantly recognized Grandpa’s reckless behavior.

I hope she wasn’t begging the grandfather to not put the kid on the railing.

Vision issues maybe? An early report said he lost his balance.

Forget vision - you can FEEL an open window. He wasn't 30 feet away, but right next to it. Grandpa has to be making the "I didn't know the window was open" part up.

The toddler could have easily looked out the window from the closed ground portion of the floor-to-ceiling windows.

Yes! And moving on an ocean where a breeze had to have been felt.

I have read several accounts of people saying they heard the mother screaming and they said it was a scream of pain like they had never heard in their life. Whether she witnessed the fall and screamed or that was her reaction after finding out and seeing her daughter I don’t know.

They were still docked. It was day 1 and they hadn’t even left yet. But the window tinting alone was enough.

Well it was docked but the point still stands.

Ok, but still they were on the water even if not moving a breeze should have been felt.

Y'all. He picked that window because it was open. Think about it - they were 11 stories up. Would her view really be any different if she were standing on the floor? No, it would not. Also - think about where her body had to be for her to flip/fall out of the window.

We are agreeing with you. Of course he knew it was open.

I think the lawyer is making it worse.

Or he wanted her to look out one of the clear panes thinking they were different colors.

Which would make him mentally handicapped.

No one thinks 'oh there's one window they painted a different color!'

He knew it was open.
