The program was already in effect prior to the 90 mark. It was the frequency that changed.

Riiiight. The frequency. Mmmkay.

Get a grip. Every noncitizen vote cancels out the vote of a citizen. Removing illegal voting registrations is common sense. You sound completely unhinged all because the court acknowledges that the judge acted inappropriately to force those names back onto the voting roster to increase the opportunity to fraud.

And as shown with the link above out of Michigan, once an illegal vote is cast, it counts!

If this is such a concern, why wait until it's within the period the LAW says not to do it. Why not start a program YEARS ago?

Because this is a BS stunt to fix a problem that isn't really a problem. Non citizen voting has been illegal for a long time and multiple checks have found it's not an issue. One guy in Michigan and you guys are saying the sky is falling so that you can justify your illegal purge of actual citizen votes.

Lies and Cheating and projection to try and cover it up: The GOP way. You can't win fairly so you cheat and blame the other side.

The program HAS been in effect as it was required by law (put in by a Democrat, Kaine). The only thing that Youngkin changed was the frequency of the voter list maintenance processes.

Correct. This is all explained in the judicial record if you are still confused.

It's all about the timing. Yougkin went looking for a fight, got one, and the Roberts Court dutifully backed him up.

And Virginia has same-day registration anyway, so this is all a huge set up to get MAGA excited.

https://www.texastribune.org/2024/10/29/texas-noncitizen-voter-roll-removal-mary-howard-elley/

Mary Howard-Elley fervently believes illegal immigration in the U.S. is a critical problem that only former President Donald Trump can solve. She says the continuation of his border wall and promised mass deportations will make the country safer.

She agrees with Trump’s unfounded claims that Democrats are opening the borders to allow noncitizens to vote, fearing that it could ultimately cost him the election.

Howard-Elley didn’t pay much attention when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott helped fuel that narrative by announcing that the state had removed thousands of supposed noncitizens from its rolls, claiming some had a history of voting.

Then the U.S. citizen learned she was among them.

The retired Transportation Security Administration agent was confused by how the county could come to that conclusion. And she seethed at the idea that anyone would question the citizenship of a former federal employee with the “whitest name you could have.”

She got a letter, provided her documents, assumed the issue was resolved, only to learn when REPORTERS called her she had been purged. Then election officials told her on Oct 14 it was too late to fix it for this year's election, so news organizations brought the issue up to the state who said the local official was wrong.

“Who is allowing people to do this to United States citizens? I understand we have a problem with immigration, but come on now,” Howard-Elley said in an interview.

“The system is very flawed,” Howard-Elley said. “I feel really sad that we’re in a situation like this. You would think in 2024 we wouldn’t have issues like this.”

She intends to cast her ballot for Trump.
Reporters should’ve gone to bat for the dem voters first!

Not even one.

Commonwealth of Virginia residents eligible to vote can still register during early voting or on Election Day, and cast provisional ballots.

Why should she have to jump through hoops that you don't have to?

This is a stunt. It's BS. You know it, we know it.

Otherwise I say to you, Youngkin's admin is inefficient and unfit. They should have taken care of this long before now. Incompetence.

But we all know this is a BS stunt. He's such a MAGA loser.

Did you read the link? It says she can still register to vote.

I don’t buy that a “mistake was made” either. People affected by this self checked that they weren’t a citizen and didn’t respond to written notification to contact the regular within 14 days to verify citizenship.

But again, if she wants to she can register up until Election Day. She didn’t need the original roster including noncitizen names to go into effect for this to happen.

It has everything to do with the insidious work of the GOP to undermine our democratic way of life. It's not compatible with their quest for power, so they want to dismantle it.

Screaming BS and loser makes you look like you can’t make a logical argument. If you have a specific reason that self attesting noncitizens should be re-added to a state’s voting list then make the case.

It was the DOJ that started this with their lawsuit, not Youngkin.
