Though I suppose it makes sense. If the Democrats want to reduce women to a series of body parts, perhaps they only care about uteruses. In this, the Democrats are at least consistent. So women who are fine being referred to as uterus-havers or front holes can vote for the party that sees them that way.

I read that article too. What you didn't mention is that she lived in Texas, and was measured at 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant. She then traveled to Oklahoma to attempt a medication abortion, which failed. She purchased some pills from India, which also failed. You make it sound like she suddenly, at week 34, decided to terminate her pregnancy. That is not remotely true - she just had the misfortune of living in Texas.

+1. States like New York have made it legal to have an abortion up to 40 weeks of pregnancy. As I recall, the state legislators (Democrats) literally cheered when this bill was passed. Why is that?

These abortion bans are not stopping abortions. They have increased since roe. It just makes them more dangerous. It also drives down the birth rate and fertility treatments , erodes the entire maternal healthcare system, and basically discourages pregnancy and birth.
