I can’t imagine these dads when their daughters are in high school. 1/2 the kids on my DS’s HoCo elite middle school team played JV in high school and won’t play D1. NGLL 2028 is not that deep. Relax, your heart health is far more important.

Lots of non sequiturs on this website today.

Coppermine was better than everyone today (and all season so far), beating Maryland United 11-5 and Pride 11-4, ending their regular season 8-0.

Next Level had an impressive 13-5 win over Nems.

Stars had an 11-10 win against a much improved Skywalkers team who was ranked 17th nationally heading into the weekend. Great job Stars!

Pride beat Hero's White handily, 15-4, before their loss to Coppermine in the second game of the day.

Big matchup for next weekend is Pride (5-2) vs Stars (4-3) for NOVA bragging rights. If Stars can ride their momentum to victory, Pride and Stars will both end at 5-3. If not, Pride will be crowned unofficial Nova NGLL champ. Good luck girls!

Coppermine would be a decent high school team--right now--in either VHSL 6A or ISL. Pretty impressive. Size, athleticism, team play, defense. Taking it to MD United like that says a lot.

You are out of your mind. Any top-20 2027 team would roll them. They beat the 2027 by 1 last summer.

They would lose by 10 to most HS private schools. You are very much underestimating the physical play at HS level.

So no more "home games" at WoG. Back to driving 50-60 mins to play another NoVA team for the last game of the season.

I saw some slipping around for some girls, and the lack of an 8M and crease, etc., on the turf was not ideal, but did others think WoG was that bad? Good spectator set up right on top of the action.

I mean we do have NoVA venues as nice as the MD fields (even Garrison Forest). Hope we can get one of those for next year.

WOG was the worst field you could play on, turf wasn’t even in some spots.

Parking was not good either and the place is in dire need of a pressure watch.

Jeez, Maryland parents are a fussy bunch.

Okay.... I'm sorry that your feeling are hurt or that you are offended by the name Redskins. Before it was Word of Grace Church, it was the headquarters/training facility for the Washington Redskins from 1970s to 1990 I believe,

Relax. I'm sure the libs will get the street name changed for you soon....

Uh, I was the Redskins poster. I love the name. No sarcasm. I will not utter the new name as I find it totally offensive. You completely misinterpreted my light-hearted post.

This game is always close. Nothing is easy in rivalry week.
