OK, I'll bite. Good news for today:
Over 80% of 65+ population has had at least one shot.

The latest "wave" turned out to be more of a ripple and now seems to be on its way out.

The latest "wave" didn't even appear to generate an increase in deaths--instead, it looks like deaths stopped declining.

BUT the wave is over. Look for daily deaths to start dropping again.

Six weeks ago, few people I know were vaccinated and I was unbearably excited to get my appt. Now practically everyone I know has gotten at least one shot.

It turns out that airborne transmission of the virus is much more likely than transmission from surfaces, especially porous ones.
