ICE agents caused a brutal car accident at Snelling and I94 in St. Paul, MN. After the accident the agents abducted and disappeared the women driving (who is an activist in the area) despite her screaming in pain from the accident.

She does not have to drive at someone for it to be interference. Using a vehicle to intentionally block or impede clearly identified federal officers is obstruction regardless of speed or contact.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement is federal law enforcement. ICE officers are sworn federal agents with arrest authority under federal law, and courts have affirmed this repeatedly.

Title 18 Section 111 says there has to be force or credible threat of force in order for it to be felony interference. Blocking a road, taunting, whatever it was that they wanted to whine about does not meet that standard. Nor is it credible use of force when they steer the vehicle AWAY from you.

I am trying to remain neutral ➕ open-minded about what I see in the videos that are posted online (seriously,) and trying to give the ICE officer the benefit of the doubt since I imagine their job is very complicated at best.

My interpretation of what occurred is that I do not think it was right for the woman who was eventually shot to have been blocking the road the way she was.
I do not know what her motive was for doing so but she was in the wrong for the angle her vehicle was parked since it is clear that she was not supposed to be stationary the way she was.

The ICE agents understandably were irked by the way her vehicle was stopped however their language toward the woman in the vehicle was downright disrespectful as well as wholly unprofessional.
They approached her yelling at her to “get out of the effing car….!” then they attempted to open her vehicle’s door which would make anyone defensive + thus anger them.

The woman driving the SUV then attempted to drive away, yes she & her wife were taunting the officers prior but the officers should not have let emotions affect them which they allowed.
Their main duty was to keep any negative emotions out of their responsibilities and focus on what their task was.

However the officer that shot the victim was distracted as he was filming the chaotic scene at hand so his head wasn’t 💯% focused.
The victim attempted to drive away from the agents > how can anyone not see this??!
It is clear because her front tires were turned to the right…..if she had intended on running the officers prior over her tires would have been turned straight ahead.
