What’s equally terrifying about this trial is the assumption that if someone is an alcoholic or addict that they are also physically abusive. I’ve known plenty of alcoholics that were not physically abusive at all, just sloppy. She’s gross for using his alcoholism to bolster her case without any evidence.

That’s a new reach.

It was denied because deliberation has already started.

That is what Amber heard‘s expert witness testified to. In a nutshell, he said that even though he had never treated Johnny Depp, because he was an alcoholic but pointed that he was also an abuser.

I agree. I know a few hard core alcoholic's who are very kind and sweet drunks. They aren't all angry abusers, driving the streets at night. Many are quietly drinking alone at home in their living room. It's a disease, but doesn't mean they are angry and abusive.

This is like the movie The war of the Roses, except done in public.

So if you approached this trial with a truly open mind, listened to all of the testimony, weighed the evidence presented by both sides and based on that came to the conclusion that you did not believe Ms. Heard you are discrediting ALL victims of DV?

Think that one through. I believe DV is a horrific crime. My heart hurts for any victim of it and I believe that anyone guilty of DV should be punished. That said, each case has to be faced without prejudice for our legal system to work. Every single victim of DV should be heard and they deserve justice, but not everyone who claims DV is telling the truth. That's a sad fact and, as I said, we can't presume anything--we have to weigh the facts of every single case, every single time.

Totally agree! Victims and aggressors come in different shapes and sizes and by choosing to not believe in AH's claims certainly does not mean that I'm discrediting claims from all victims of DV, just hers.

😝😂🤔

Yes penetrating, nuanced and keen insights into the shared responsibility of people in toxic relationships. Have come to expect such depth of understanding from rabid JD fans.

And yet there is video evidence that that isn't the kind of drunk he is. I grew up with an alcoholic, a sweet one in fact, and he could still turn on a dime in the right circumstances, because he was not in control of himself.

I honestly don't understand how anyone could understand the legal issues at play, listen to this entire trial, come to the conclusion that Johnny Depp is a blameless victim, and not be a misogynist.
