Sports General Discussion
I was thinking more from the standpoint of who my kid's team is playing. I guess we figure it out pretty quick once the match starts. |
| It's mostly useful at U11 NCSL/WAGS, when they do the "random" divisions. It's sometimes nice to know whether you're playing a C team trying to scrape its way into Division 7 or an A team that will consider its season a colossal failure if it's not D1 in the spring. |

Well that formatting came out horribly. Forget that. : ) |
lol....oh well. Everyone could share what their club's color rank means. That could be simplest. FPYC (NCSL) only has two teams: Blue = A. Gold = B. |
The color ranking is not irrelevant if you want to know whether you have an offer for the A, B or C team (etc.) within your club. From there you can proceed to think about what league your team would play in, and other factors that may help you decide on one club vs. another. As other have said, this is an anonymous forum, and there is zero chance you will bring any harm upon yourself or your child for asking here if you have questions about a particular club. |
If you look at the raw text when you're quoting, it works. Here's what I see, along with a few quirks I know ... FPYC: Blue, Gold HERN: Black, Red, White REST: Blue, White, Yellow, Green GRFL: Blue, White, Gold (sometimes with some other names thrown in, like Lazio or Estudiantes) LOUD: Red, Black, White, Silver (I also see Gray and Green in ODSL) MCLN: Green, White, Gold, Silver, White VYS: Red, Black, White (also Silver in ODSL. They've had Gold in the past, but that's not likely to happen again soon. And top girls teams now called "Phoenix") CYA: Purple, Gold, Silver, Black (also White) NVSC: Blue, White PAC: Navy, White (then Gold and Silver in ODSL. Also, girls teams are starting to go by Gold) STER: Orange, White LMVSC: Red, White, Blue ARL: Red, White, Blue, Black, Silver, Gold PWSI: Red, White (that can't be all) POT: Blue, White, Black SYA: Red (also Black) VSA: Blue, Gold, White BRYC: Elite, Blue, White (note: most ODSL teams are run out of separate rec department) GSC: Red, White BETH: Blue, Green (gets very confusing when they move up to DA, EDP, etc.) DCST: Blue, White, Red WALD: Orange SMS: Gold, Red I'll add: ALEX: Red, White, Blue, Black, Silver I don't know FRED, FCV, SYC or TAFC. I also get Barca's "Elite" and "Premier" confused. SAC has Showcase Blue, Blue, White, and the occasional Showcase White. At older age groups, you can have a lot of confusing names because an entire team may jump from one club to another but maintain its old nickname. |
| DCST is Blue Red then White (used to be gold for girls but i think they switched all to White). Also for boys younger ages (u9/u10) they have a black team similar to white team. |
| I thought Gold was B Team for McLean? CYA generally goes Purple, Gold, Black, White. There is a Silver team at U11B this year. Not sure if it is C or D team. |
FCV: ECNL>Elite>Premier |
White usually is B team for McLean. |
What is their U11 boys FCVA United Premier 06B? Do they have their A team in NPL and B team in NCSL? |
McLean: ECNL > Green > White > Gold |
You forgot to mention DA. |
MYS lost their boy's DA and is not getting it back anytime soon. In contrast to ASA, DCU, and Loudon, MYS has U12 only now, and will have to send those boys elsewhere (or relegate them to CCL on Green) . . . so not a MYS player path for boys DA and they have no pathway alliance (as of yet). So for McLean: Girls: ECNL, Green, White, Gold Boys: DA (U12 only), Green, White, Gold, Silver |
