Very sad. RSV could do that too. My daughter had RSV at 8 weeks and it was a rough road. |

Hope that northeast will close the border otherwise we will be overrun by corona zombies who couldn't follow directions:

And even that isn’t a given. I don’t think hospitals are deliberately hiding this but with a shortage of tests, if someone dies of an unspecified “respiratory illness” I would guess the protocols for testing and reporting vary widely around the country. This is not conspiracy talk. It’s just the reality of what happens in chaos with limited resources. There simply aren’t enough tests, and I would think (hope) health care workers are a higher priority than a dead person. |
Because it didn't make sense. If he had shared information explaining the situation or his plan, that would have been good. But he didn't. Also, you spelled Donald wrong. |
Did you hear Nancy or Chuck saying they didn't understand why the President had to cut flights from China? |
If The Donald wants to act like a dictator instead of a leader, well, he's in the wrong country. He's doing it wrong. Too bad. This could have been his time to shine. He didn't. |
What are you spewing now? |
| Why are U.K. deaths so high? Is it that widespread, and they are profoundly under testing? Or has it hit a much more vulnerable population? |
The U.K. delayed acting upon the impending coronavirus threat. Boris wanted to take a wait and see approach hoping that “herd immunity” would stop the spread. He was wrong and now it’s too late... |

At some point we have to accept we're gonna lose some folks. Right now we've lost 17 jobs for every case of COVID19. 8000 people die every day in America. 3M per year. Losing 250K from COVID19 would just be a blip, because not all of those deaths would be "extra", some amount would have happened this year anyway.
The misery in peoples lives due to poverty is going to top any death toll we can get here. |
They have 60 million people and 3,000 deaths and 34,000 positive cases. The government also believes they will peak around April 12. All in all, not too bad. The herd immunity will stop the spread. It's a question of time. The shutdown and flattening the curve only prolongs the inevitable. |
We have accepted that. We're trying to staunch the flow. The mobile phone disconnections in China remain unexplained. Before you advocate for the deaths of millions of Americans, at least know what you're talking about. |
They are a complete mess!!!! I have been reading British papers for a while and saw this train wreck coming. They kept pushing the "herd immunity" crap for a while with zero social distancing guidelines or test prepping. Brits flying to Spain and partying hard even 1 week ago. Large festivals were still on, large pub gatherings to get one last drink before closures, and then the crazy run on supermarkets and people packed like sardines, the subway service decimated and people packed on like sardines. The testing is a complete disaster, there are both test shortages and a mismanagement of testing process. No way it peaks April 12. |
