NOT ANYMORE!
World Health Organization (WHO) @WHO · Apr 25 Earlier today we tweeted about a new WHO scientific brief on "immunity passports". The thread caused some concern & we would like to clarify: We expect that most people who are infected with #COVID19 will develop an antibody response that will provide some level of protection. |

Oh no we will just get it over and over again for the rest of our lives until we all die!!! Immunity is impossible!!! The immune system, having evolved for billions of years, can’t become immune to COVID-19!!!! We’re all going to dieeeeeeeee!! |

NOT ANYMORE! OLD NEWS. WHO backed up from this insane theory. After all they decided to subscribe to science. NOT ANYMORE! It was sarcasm because of course you get immunity. People have been peddling these lies for months. They’re just as bad as the people claiming it’s no big deal. |

						Hi,
We were supposed to move to DC next month, with 2 yo, 4.5yo and one on the way (due in August)... but are now considering delaying til the move til the fall. What is it like for parents of small kids, with parks, etc closed? Any idea if summer camps will be open? School in the fall? (And hospitals for giving birth?) We're in Japan, where things restrictions are a little looser, at least for now.. Thank you!! |

I doubt camps will be open. Do you and your partner have to both work from home? |

Me too. And don’t let anyone here guilt you out of feeling that way by saying that you are weak and comparing you to people who lived through wars, and saying that all you are being asked to do is sit on your couch and watch Netflix. F@ck that. I am with you. I am sick of the news, the ads, the COVID 24/7, the scientists who never seem to know anything; the fact that people have to dodge each other on the street and in stores; homeschooling; not being able to see loved ones; watching the economy go down the shitter. I’ve had enough. This is no kind of life. |

I would not count on any sort of childcare being available this summer. Daycares will possibly resume in June, but if you're both working parents, understand that you'll probably be pulling double duty unless you hire a sitter or nanny to help out. I wouldn't worry about the hospitals. They've all adapted to minimize disruptions in labor and delivery. The biggest change has been not letting support person leave and come back, which is challenging when you have other kids at home. They've been trying to discharge patients more quickly, where as before, they encouraged women (or at least me) to stay for as long as insurance would allow. There are two things to weigh here. Move next month while most restrictions are still in place and get settled in as they're lifted throughout the summer. Or move in the fall after most restrictions have been removed, but a fresh spike in fall cases may be on the horizon. |

I have a 4.5 year old and a 9 month old. It sucks ass and is super boring. It’s also been very rainy here lately so we haven’t been able to go outside much. I’m hearing that a few restrictions will be lifted around the 2nd week of May, but really not much that pertains to children - hair and nail salons and maybe gyms. I’m in Virginia and our governor did a weird thing where he issued a very long shelter in place order until June 10th, but some business restrictions on “non-essential” businesses are scheduled to be lifted next month, so no one knows what’s going on. I feel like private summer camps will try to do something after June 10 just so they can make at least some money. Parks camps it’s tough to say. I don’t know about pools either. I believe there will be school in the fall but we could face another few weeks-months of this horse shit next winter if there are a lot of cases. |
| In hindsight can you imagine if the borders were shut in early Jan? |

[NP] Seriously! You are not required to be in solitary confinement. Put on a mask and go for along walk. Take a look around and start to notice the world around you. It is fascinating. |
