This happened in 1987. Were you living there then? |
I always see this person making these comments. It’s so darn weird. She certainly bought well after the boundary change, probably in the last 10 years yet acts like she’s been harmed by it. |
I am not that person (and my kids both had good experiences at RM!) but I think she is pointing out that boundary changes can have drastic affects on home prices..positive and negative. |
Over THIRTY-TWO YEARS, a great number of things can have drastic effects on home prices. |
I am just curious what other effects that change home prices? It is obvious as we are house hunting right now that prices between school boundaries are what causes similar style and aged homes to be various prices - like big increases and decreases. Our real estate agent said the same thing. King Farm is the SAME development and the side that goes to Gaithersburg are about $75,000 less than the side that goes to Richard Montgomery. In Derwood, the homes that go to Richard Montgomery are much higher than the ones that go to Magruder. Same style homes. I don't see any other difference. The homes in Dufief go for way too much. They are in terrible condition. The only thing they have going for them? Wootton school district. So I am just curious what other things besides boundary changes, decrease home prices so drastically. |
Over 32 years? Let's start with 1. the national economy 2. the local economy 3. inflation 4. interest rates 5. buyer preferences |
| How did the Rockville Hearing go last night? Did Rockville City stop MSI and the turf field? |
But all the larger single family homes are on the RM side so it is hard to compare. |
| Jeff should rename this the Montgomery County Property Values Forum. |
| This thread is about turf field at Julius West. Please stay on topic. |
Crickets over here...hmmm... Did the activists not get what they demanded? I hope so. Pretty entertaining to watch their desperate attempts--essentially grasping at straws to find anything to shut it down or somehow punish MSI. Hopefully they lost this battle. |
They have not lost the battle. They are winning. |
How so? Did they meet all their demands? Please elaborate. Why did the activist delete her prior Facebook post with the list of demands? |
Asking Rockville City to provide bathrooms and analyze traffic patterns only helps MSI players and parents. They should have demanded that MSI provide bathrooms as part of the Signed settlement agreement. Too bad, so sad, and too late! |
| I didn't go to the meeting but I read the materials. MCPS is supposed to have MSI arrange with the office that deals with school buildings for outside activities to have auxiliary building access or something - basically to be able to use the school bathrooms. The lights will go on no earlier than 8am and will go off no later than 9:45pm. The games will not start before 8am but MSI people can be there setting up before 8am. |
