Bullis Lacrosse Situation

That’s the equivalent of bribery, they got a financial toe in Bullis and forced out the coach, who later came back. The AD and Headmaster should be fired for chasing dollars not ethics

Isn’t it odd to send an email saying the coach is stepping down but not send a follow up when the decision has been reversed? I’m still not sure it’s true.

The headmaster is more concerned with dollars than setting a good example for the students. His actions clearly condone that money is the most important thing. I bet he never played an actual sport past 7th grade

Email making clear that JB still head coach went out to Bullis lacrosse parents at end of July. It just didn't get leaked to the press (likely because it didn't help DCE...)

So how many of the DCE kids are leaving Bullis as a result of JB being re-instated?

Putting this debacle on a lax club (DCE) is totally stupid. The headmaster (really s/b the AD but not empowered in this case) is the only leader with the authority to hire/fire coaches for the school. If DCE had a few assts that did not get along with the head coach then the Headmaster (not the club) had a decision to make—which it turns out was made and then reversed. That is on the Bullis Head and his advisors (the school’s Board). Most of the players with DCE club team attend other high schools so this is a big nothing burger.

It seems odd to me that the club, which apparently was helping to fund the turf fields (true?), had coaches/club founders on staff at the school. Seems like a conflict of interest to me, as they are in a position to tell the school that it should be playing the club kids regardless of their merits. Obviously, the head and any board members involved should have been exercising much better oversight throughout the process, but I'd be curious to know how the DC Express guys got on the coaching staff in the first place.

the current headmaster is obsessed with winning at sports. Have you ever witnessed a headmaster parade up and down the field during an HS football game or a lacrosse game?

The board knew what they were getting into with they brought Boardman into Bullis. He had a lousy reputation in PG County when he was a principal at Eleanor Rosevelt.

Who the hell has a school building named after him when he has been at Bullis for less than 8 years - talk about a man with an ego.

Anyone have an idea where the DCE coaches are going next? I have heard one DCE player leaving Bullis for his senior season

Hi, Ray! Where are you going to practice now that Bullis is kicking you out?

How much debt has bullis taken on in recent years?

I thought the headmaster was actually well respected academically. Is that incorrect?

Not really. Everyone knows that his one true passion is money

Assume you mean money for the school. What’s wrong with that?

It came at the expense of creating this whole debacle. At the root of this is money for a turf field.

Maybe money means more to you than ethics
