Liberals: How can you, in good conscience, support illegal immigrants?

If we want an immigration policy based on what this country needs then let's look at the type of industry/skills that Rs are saying we need - it's not the high skilled ones. It's the cheap low skilled labor. So according to them, we should be importing more low skilled workers from those sh1thole countries.

So I'm not for illegal immigration, but I have some compassion, AND I'm not a hypocrite when it comes to importing foreign labor, something the Rs seem to have much of.

Give them your job then. Easy solution

What was the problem I mentioned that would be solved with me giving them my job? You don't know the difference between illegal and legal immigration, do you? And I notice you didn't address any of the points I made.

I can say we fought to get rid of slavery since my ancestors were in the Union Army. The Civil Rights. Our war and our Civil Rights have exactly what to do with the USA being flooded with illegal immigrants? Why are Mexicans in the USA a priority instead of AA's AKA Citizens?

I'm also a pragmatic, the immigration system is really screwed up and needs to be reformed. There isn't the political will to do mass deportations raid

I used the word ancestors which is plural and includes a woman. MD [officially in Union] had CSA regiments. NOVA included what became West VA all the way up to the PA border. Given the history of the USA I firmly believe that we have to direct funding and efforts towards our own citizens and communities.

That's fine, but still has nothing to do with "your" ancestors fighting for the Union who may or may not have been against slavery anyways. And Baltimore has huge issues, yes, but let's not go there because I can get into all kinds of debate about how the AA community in Baltimore isn't helping itself, ie, looting/damaging stores that serve their own community.

With all the tax cuts, even if Trump manages to kick out every single illegal immigrant (which he won't and can't), there will be no funding left to help communities out of poverty.
