My friend's kid was accepted for pre-K at Beavoir, GDS, and Sidwell. There's one school they haven't heard from yet, but I don't think they're considering that one any more.

AA DD Pre-K Sidwell accepted. Just found out this evening.

Why assume ethnicity, legacy, sibling or connection? Our DC was accepted to both Sidwell and Beauvoir and have none of those factors.

Off the charts testing, jobs, connections, money?

It has to be something. Folks just don't routinely get into both Sidwell and Beauvoir.

DC had fun at playdate. Bright happy easy going child, who tries do the best that DC can do. Performed very well on WPPSI. No connection, not wealthy, not minority.

I realized that we don't seem any different from any other family we met at the school interviews, so we too were very pleasantly surprised to be accepted by both of these wonderful schools.

FWIW, DC did not come from a feeder school. Parents are not attorneys. Parents attended top private non-Ivy universities.
