But great when fleeing reporters.

I bet they do--and he takes the fall and uses 'but it's okay in France/cultural excuse'. She gets off and can take kids and he may face some charges.

i saw the video. i think the judge should have made them leave their warm coats and hats and gloves in the courtroom when they left. also interesting that there was no one there to pick them up. not a single friend or relative who would back them up?

Jennie needs to get a hoodie for their next court appearance.

They're in their mid 40s with a 2 and 3 yr old; they had kids pretty close together likely cause that window was closing. Now they're stuck with 2 needy toddlers after having been DiNKS for 2 decades. I'm sure they were sick of the story time, bath time, act like everything your kid does is utterly fascinating routine and just needed a few hrs away. I bet they booked a sitter who cancelled last second, didn't have anyone who could step in and said f--- it, we're going anyway. How do we make it happen? And this is the plan they devised.

Stupid as it was, I still don't see it as any of my business or the business of the state dept atty who watched the car for 20 min. I honestly don't see caring enough about someone else's toddlers who are secured in a car -- cold is not going to harm them for 2-3 hrs -- but obviously that's just me.

How do we make it happen?? When 'it' is a wine tasting?? FFS.

And I'm grateful that the state dept. attorney clearly did think it was his business as opposed to someone like you. You don't care enough about a two and three year old? Wow.

+1. i think it's the dad.

That would have been amazing of the judge.

Does a criminal conviction get her fired from her federal job?

Maybe the state department attorney has been overseas and seen what has happened to unattended children. Someone could have snatched those two desirable babies from the car by breaking a window and putting them into a "adoption" scheme. $100,000 per kid is my guess. Especially, if they could trace the parent's educational levels

Doubt it since it would be unrelated to her job.

But she'd be fired when she couldn't show up to work because she was serving a 10 year sentence.

I would print out the article and leave it on their chair.

A felony can get you fired.

I think these people are complete and total a-holes. And completely clueless. They clearly saw nothing wrong with leaving their children unattended IN PUBLIC! So clearly their judgement is scary. That said, I really feel for those children. They must be terrified without their parents. I do think it's in the kids best interest to be reunited with their parents. How that happens and under what supervision I don't know. But I do think being away from their parents is more damaging.
